@amWhy I don't see how it is possible to address crankery. This isn't about wrong attempts; it is about a crank attempt at tackling CH with an 'attempt' that hardly makes a single bit of sense. I seem to recall (but can't be sure) that this is not the first time either. And yes, it's not like a PSQ, which is why I did not lump it together with the usual C requests.
@amWhy Up for deletion.

Agree with @user21820. I can't be bothered to read the details, but it seems to me that at the end that answerer seems to think they have disproved the continuum hypothesis by exhibiting two subsets of the reals with the difference a countable set. Somebody alert @AsafKaragila.

@JyrkiLahtonen Yea I flagged, but I don't think Asaf will get your ping here though..

There is one user from whom I've seen a dozen suggested edits in which the single change the make is to capitalize the first letter of the first word in the title.

@user21820 Yes, I understand. I had not recognized the asker; when I note a pattern (and I should have clicked on their profile to see possible earlier crankery), and if there's a pattern, I'd like to treat them as trolls.
Such "trolling Cranks" are seeking a stage, just like trolls to, and worse, they lower the quality of this site, and risk misguiding users with little experience on this site, @user21820

@amWhy: Indeed. I too didn't recognize this user, but when I got to CH after a whole page of rambling that clearly had nothing to do with set theory, it was game-over or cat-out-of-the-bag.
=)
@user21820 Drives me mad! >:<

A: How many cpus needed to check a 100 million digit prime number efficiently?

BriannMersenne numbers (2^n-1) are thought to be prime at a much greater rate than are random numbers. Mersenne.org is a website that distributes factoring software, assigns numbers that have not been tested yet, or double checks if you specify that, and periodically fetches progress figures, so if yo...

@KReiser I'll have to wait two hours, and then I can add my votes. (Currently OUT of close votes.)
