Might it be better to reopen math.stackexchange.com/questions/3436785 and mark math.stackexchange.com/questions/562699 as the duplicate? As the former has a better answer and most of the content in the answers to the latter, has no use to future users as it deals with the specific error of the asker.

This -almost- seems like an example of a dupe: D?
the reason I say almost is because, while this question is different: math.stackexchange.com/questions/245438/…
the accepted answer is predicated on answering the question in D?.
so that's a bit weird

This not-an-answer's author apparently didn't even read the first line of the question!

For the record, my prior post appears to have sparked a downvoting campaign on my posts. I got 6 downvotes since I posted it yesterday (vs. 1 every week or two typically). Is this to be expected when one posts such lists here? Of course such despicable peurile behavior will have no effect on my effort to organize the site.

@user21820 Good find! The dupe target for D6 is surely also a dupe too (that's a FAQ that occurs in many variants). It's sad that a 300K user (and former mod) is picking big cherries like that instead of helping to organize the site. Even sadder, the 20+ votes are not lost after deletion. Poor platform design
