@JessePFrancis Perhaps there is some (very small) difference between the two posts. But they are about the same exercise and one of them has accepted answer, so I think the OP is satisfied with the answer they got. For these reasons I considered closing as a duplicate a reasonable idea.
Even if somebody thinks they should not be closed, there should be at least link from each of them to the other one. (So that people do not waste time writing down things that have already been explained.)

I have noticed, of late, people providing answers/copious hints to the question in comments instead of actually adding an answer on their own.
Other people might choose not to answer, as the question has already been answered, and it might offend the person who commented with the answer. In tim...

@MartinSleziak yes! like this ( answers:1 isanswered:no hasaccepted:no closed:no ) search query in Crusade of Answers! Some way to pin point unanswered questions with "That solves my problem" or "Thank you" in comments
For example, this question had the answer in comments, (though no thank you-s), I just had to quote that comment in answer (CW), pushing it out of unanswered queue!

Let's hope Normal Human will notice your question. I would not be surprise if there already is some related query in some of his answers.
But perhaps the first thing to do is to search a bit, to see whether you can find some similar queries.
For example, this seems similar to what you suggested: Unanswered questions with a keyword in comment.
