@Peter @Xander and anyone interested in dupes, the question linked to in Peter's message is not worthy of being a dupe target. It was closed as a PSQ, and received too poor answers. Please lets find a better dupe target of this question asked only 2 days ago?
@Xander Thank you for dealing with the post I linked above, and you did so a good half hour ago. That is very much appreciated! Please forgive my frustration expressed above. It's just been a tense few days for me. (Note that that's an excuse, but I have many unresolved concerns)
If somebody can follow what's going on here so the user posts an attempt in the comments, and then no answer proceeds to even talk about the attempt, and one of them is saying it is wrong , the other two just leave hints, I mean what is going on here!
The attempt in C1 is funny, first it's said that lim sin(nx) doesn't exist, and then it's taken to be infinite on the very next line. That looks loosely sewn together, although one may argue the user did not see it.
Concerning the close review queue : Are there many questions with a good score ? Because I basically concentrate on the posts with a low score because they are much easier to find. In this case, the flood will be difficult to be stopped. How can one see this queue ?
@XanderHenderson Apart from not being written in MathJax, it has an attempt with a few small cases tried out, although no background on the user's ability is provided . This is worth keeping if somebody can help the author give it some direction, background and purpose, although I'd imagine that followers of sport (I am too, but not interested here) might think there's enough motivation to consider a situation like this.
@XanderHenderson I mean, yeah, I just prefer the spelling it's given in some Russian books, although I'd anticipate the a at the end as well, apparently there's a y at the end! Anyway, sometime I'll play that piece and send it across! (Note : that had nothing to do with the question, just the end of my sojourn through PSQ land for the day!)
@Teresa Remind me to record these verbings in our list of Xanderisms!!
Just a personal observation: due to the frequency I write "question" on this site, 50% of the time now, when typing "request", my fingers take over and type "requestion" :(
A good list for the Cafe will be: How has math.se participation undermined you in typing in other contexts? In emails, I sometimes want to use @ when I should use "at".. Or I start them off instead of Dear So-and-So, with @So-and-So.
So would "seeking rep" be called "repping". It would be fitting to contract out for a rapper to be rapping against "repping", only for the sake of rep. And link it when appropriate. Plus, We might as well also link to "Jack, the Repper"! @Xander
@MartinR I think the question linked, both mine is yours, that results in a difference of squares, for this user, isn't likely to sink if it is only "how to rationalize what you posted." In any case, they'd have to know to multiply numerator and denominator, by the conjugate (if they even know that term) of the denominator. No doubt there's a dupe out there, but this question would best be closed as needing context. It won't add anything to the dupe chain, aren't the greatest.
@MartinR I'm certainly open to your take on this, @MartinR. Certainly an appropriate duplicate target need not match the question fully.
I didn't know at the time of my posting here that my request was related to your request.
@MartinR Feel free to call me on anything whenever you have more information, or a dupe target you've found, or are confused by a post I recommend for closure, etc., or just plain disagree.
@rschwieb No, not at all. First of all, it would have been best posted on matheducators.se, than here. And plus, it's not about math, it's about what technology would be best suited.
