Q: Why are there so many math prodigies?

Dan supports MonicaIn math, there are many 12 year olds with phds. Yet in physics, chemistry, engineering or anything rigorous there are hardly any prodigies. Why do all the prodigies just happen to go into math?

Q: What would be the consequences of removing imaginary numbers?

Dan supports MonicaWhat if imaginary numbers were outlawed, in the same way divide by zero is handled? The first consequence I see is that functions which use this, ala the zeta function would be impossible. So basically all of number theory would dissapear. Likewise wide areas of other mathematics would dissapear....
