@gschenk I found an article where Vittoria said as much. They said at the start they had no idea what they were doing and the results were not good at all. They tried to mix the graphene in a powder form with the rubber and just ended up with lumpy rubber :P
itโ€™s amazing how much grip tyres have
you get really close to ฮผ=1 or even above 1
06:56
minus 2 degrees forecast for tomorrows ride.
poor you
well its cold for round here
I don't need it but I want it
07:28
want to go cycling in full plate armor?
best protection against abrasions and impalement :D
Heh there are a couple of nutters round here who do BMX jousting.
I mean riding a BMX is bad enough. but ramming a lance into another rider coming the other way ?
well, at least today you have modern medicine and surgery
it was even more crazy to do this kind of stuff 400 years when a broken bone could turn you into a cripple for your whole life
true
bmx jousting?! WHAAAAT
images dont load here - cant connect to server aparantly
Yeah theres some history behind that.
Try https://flatbike.com/bike-jousting/
๐Ÿคฏ
Yeah - its slow speed, they're all padded, and I know the christchurch ones used cardboard tubes as lances, which generally buckled to uselessness on the first hit.
But .... speechless
08:29
Tall bike jousting?
08:51
I've ridden a tall bike once. It was terrifying to get moving, but okay once you got above ~5 km/h. Stopping was even worse - you have to stop within range of your chosen streetlight or wall or whatever.
Tim's one, you could put your foot on top of a portaloo or on a van's roof while in the saddle.

Just did first 'climbing' workout of the year. That was fun ๐Ÿ™‚
19:32
I call bullshit :-P Climbing is not fun.
Climbing can absolutely be fun. For about ten minutes.
@Mithical Well funny enough today's was 10mins of under/overs and then 3x8 mins at approximately ftp
under/over? is that undulating rollers or above/below threshhold effort ?
19:47
@Criggie That's above/below threshold. In todays case 1min 105%, 1min 95% repeated x5
@Renaud The difference between hybrids and mtbs: MTB's are useful ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyone in here got any good ways of adding carbs to meals that's more interesting than just a side plate of rice/bread/pasta?
