Q: Closure reason, duplicate vs others

SwiftyOn this recently closed question, What kind of bike do I own my vote appears to be recorded as closure for being a duplicate. I thought I had intended to vote as ‘unclear what you are asking’ but it isn’t showing as that. Possibly same thing on this question GT Serial Number YC99L03435. Would...

@Swifty And... answered, I think...
Morning all - good question btw. The ID my bike questions are difficult
Sometimes they're just rubbish junk bikes and sometimes they're interesting.

Thank you both
They are difficult, they vary in quality a lot, I enjoy the good ones. I wonder if the more there are though, the more there are, the more google referrals, the more there will be!
I may have a follow-up question tomorrow...

OK - how about "what makes a good id-my-bike question ?" as a meta question ? Or what makes the same kind of question bad ?
Sounds like a solid idea to me.
"How do I ask a good [id-my-bike] question?"
I'd expect answers like good="clear well-lit photo in sunlight" and bad="small resolution, dark photo fuzzy and out of focus against a dark background"
@Swifty you want to ask it ?

We might get a wiki question: "Identify my generic bike" and link boring ID questions to it. Then add answers with identify BSO, serial numbers mean, nothing, different bike types, and @robokaren "why shouldn't I care".
I'm with @Swifty the Q's aren't duplicates of "why shouldn't I care"
But most are clutter and there are no good queries to find a useful one in the future. No worth whatsoever as a repository of knowledge.
