The metal handlebar mount turns out not to be quite as brilliant as I'd hoped. It's stronger, so you get the camera side of the clamp to do up right really does require the bolt and allen key, the little plastic knob thing leaves the camera loose enough to flop as I ride. I think even so it's better than the plastic clamp.

Also, there are times when it doesn't matter what resolution you shoot at... you can still read the plate

Also, yesterday riding home someone had parked a bus in an unusual way

That seems a poor parking methodology - someone might blind themselves wiht the red and blue lights while stepping off the bus. And that back door last step seems to be over the gutter so it will be a big step down.
