Is Strava worth to bother with?
I fear that if I'd use it it.I should not gain much while desires for new gadgets might spawn.

@gschenk Yes. If you have a fancy phone then there's no cost. Its worth using for a week or so, one ride isn't enough to give you any results to compare.
I like using it for a year-goal, like total elevation or distance.
Plus it helps keep track of mileage accrued on parts, provided you enter them at change time.

I hope it stays on the phone them :-) My father has a nifty lezyne GPS tracker on his bike that integrates with Strava.

@gschenk, do you need some kind of certification or diploma in order to repair a bike in Germany?
@Criggie isn't the ride uploaded to Strava server at the end of each ride?

correct - its not kept in the phone or garmin or anything.

Anyway I like Strava. It's pretty decent for analyzing the ride. It gives me the distance, average speed, instant speed and it also puts them on a map.
Speaking of data, you can also download it. I think it's in GPX format.

yep - you can get tcx too if you install Stravistix in chrome.

Yep, you get a ZIP archive with GPX files.
