Q: Vim syntax pattern to highlight python keyword argument

user1685095I'm struggling with learning vim regexps (I don't know any other regexp very well either), so the main problem is to define regexp that would match some_function_call(simple_value, keyword=value) keyword in this example. So it should match a word if it's inside parens and have equal sign afte...

@JoshPetrie How did it go?
user4704
I kinda forget, but I remember regretting it after the fact :D
user4704
It made a big confusing mess of things.
user4704
Maybe I ended up merging it in the wrong direction or something? I'm not sure. I decided I'd probably never bother with it again.

Someone say something clever and worthy of being starred. We've been having the same starred messages on the right for a year!
user4704
I am smrt.

I don't understand this answer btw? Does :set paste actually paste text on OS X ...? vi.stackexchange.com/a/6895/51
user4704
@Carpetsmoker I dunno, I have never explictly typed "set paste"
user4704
The option is one of those I've never quite bothered to figure out how to use, or what it does in detail.
18:34
I always just do "+p
user4704
MacVim works fine with Command-V without mucking with it explicitly.
@JoshPetrie It disabled autoindent and stuff like that
I'm not sure what that answer is about then...

ahem
hello all. just waiting to talk to a man about a dog...
user4704
How did you end up here?
I clicked a link from your profile. Not the right move, apparently.
user4704
Whoa, the [chat] link in meta didn't go to the right place. Oh well, stand by.
Was just trying to see if there was a direct chat link.
22:27
What ...?
Josh linked chat on meta.gamedev, which apparently doesn't show the proper parent site chat rooms.
I've had too many beers to understand these complex topics.
I'll try again tomorrow
user4704
@Carpetsmoker I used the "[chat]" comment markup on a meta post on Game Development. This apparently didn't link to the GDSE chat room, but instead to the generic SE chat landing page, at which point this room showed up as the most recent I talked in or something.
user4704
:q! nothing to see here, basically
So how does "hello all. just waiting to talk to a man about a dog..." tie in to that?
user4704
22:31
I think it's a pop culture reference
user4704
One that I'm too uncouth to understand but just pretend that I do.
:-) I know about a boy an his dog...
Ah well, off to bed!
