I lost a lot of rep I had gained in a question I had answered (around 80 rep gained from it). I have no idea why and I can't find the question now too
Please help me in this matter

I had posted and was directed to this chatroom

I see:
You still have enough reputation to chat, so you can enter this chatroom and ask why the question was deleted (if the comments don't indicate why). Otherwise, follow Martin's advice: asking for undeleting on Math.Meta. But justify objectively why it should be undeleted; "I lost a lot of rep" is not a good reason to undelete a question. — Glorfindel 8 mins ago
You still got also a lot of other advice in the comments.
Did you at least locate the question?
I will add to the above comment that if the post was deleted recently, you can still find it: Is there any way to see my deleted questions or answers? If the question is worth undeleting, a reasonable place to ask for the undeletion might be here: Requests for Reopen & Undeletion Votes (volume 07/2018 - today). — Martin 24 mins ago

I couldn't locate the question at all

@VAMSIKRISHNACHILAKAMARRI the question was deleted as it was found not to match the standards of the site. Your answer went with it as a side effect; no specific action against you and something common.

@VAMSIKRISHNACHILAKAMARRI "Navigate to the question tab of your profile and click deleted recent questions at the bottom. For answers, go to answer tab instead." (From an answer to: Is there any way to see my deleted questions or answers?)

@user21820 it's a balance. There is also the issue of separate communities. It can make sense to want to keep certain questions, say, on Academia separate from ones profie, especially for those that are clearly indentified.
@XanderHenderson you can always raise a flag. I think I know what you mean, but then I cannot be sure and also you might want to communicate specifics that I am not aware of.

According to me the question was not such a bad one. It was a lot better than a few other questions i had seen. And isnt it unfair that my reputation is gone?Because i still put time into it

@quid Ah yes. Just for the fun of it (I don't seriously expect SE to take my idea seriously), let me improve my suggested approach. There are 3 kinds of accounts: normal, wiki, testing. Normal accounts are the ones we know. Wiki accounts have no rep and cannot vote on anything, which people can use to ask sensitive questions. Testing accounts are to be issued to those who have reason for using them, and can be used for anything reasonable but all effects disappear in one month.
Each user is entitled to only one normal account but unlimited wiki accounts. Testing accounts are issued on a request and case-by-case basis.
How does this sound, in theory? =)

@user21820 complicated to maintain. But maybe that's practice. I think an idea that got tossed around at times is to be able to post anonymously from a regular account, which would take away most of the legit use cases.
Then one could more easily go against duplicate accounts. Alas, it's hard to real enforce. What should we do when somebody claims "no that's not me that's my brother, and the other not me either that's my mother" I mean maybe those persons even exist. Thus we moderate more against actions, which at times can be more strict than just enforcing different persons.

@MartinSleziak Yes i could see my answer is recently deleted answers. It was deleted by a moderator due to lack of clarity. But according to me the question was very clear and was answered by me too. Can you undelete it

@quid Ah yes I see, you're right that it's easier to moderate against actions. After all, my method fails to handle meat puppets.

@VAMSIKRISHNACHILAKAMARRI Are you sure it was deleted by a moderator? Do you have a link to the post at hand?

@MartinSleziak it was deleted by three users.
Here is a link math.stackexchange.com/questions/3644316/… It's a pretty standard case, but arguably confusing.
A more detailed explication would be "
Missing context or other details

Please provide additional context, which ideally explains why the question is relevant to you and our community. Some forms of context include: background and motivation, relevant definitions, source, possible strategies, your current progress, why the question is interesting or important, etc.
"

An older copy of the same question is here: $f(x^2 + x)+2f(x^2 - 3x + 2)=9x^2 - 15x$ then find $f(2016)$. Approach0 also returns something at AoPS.
2011 SMO (Open) series - does SMO stands for Singapore Mathematical Olympiad?
Probably yes - the same problem - but with f(2011) - can be seen here: fadjarp3g.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/2011-smo.pdf
Since the same questions appeared on the site at least twice, if there is interest in this question, somebody might be willing to ask the question again - but an improved versions which contains enough context.
The fact that the question appeared twice o this site and in SMO 2011, could be one part of context.
$x^2 + x=x^2 - 3x + 2$ holds for $x=1/2$, so we can find value at this point.
We have $x^2 + x=y^2-3y+2$, $x^2 - 3x + 2 = y^2+y$ for $x+y=1$. So we should be able to say something about those points.
I am not sure whether some comments along those lines would already be considered sufficient context.

12:09 PM
@MartinSleziak I'd say yes.

OTOH if we notice that we can calculate from the above equation the value $f(a)$ for any $a=x^2+x$ by taking $x$ and $1-x$, then the problem is basically solved.
I have edited the above question, here is the most recent revision: math.stackexchange.com/revisions/3644316/4
I am not sure whether in that for it would be passable.

@MartinSleziak The question deserves closure and deletion in that: 1) It has appeared twice on this site (as you mentioned) and 2) the post provided no context at all and received no major improvement from either the OP or any of the answerers.
In general, if a user finds a post that they answered has been deleted, it means they should have reminded or helped the OP to improve the question in the first place before the deletion instead of coming to this room saying “my rep got reduced after a post I answered has been deleted” and expecting others to improve or undelete the post.
IMHO, this mechanism is unfair to other askers conforming to the site rules, namely ones that spend time formulating their questions, ones that improve their posts in time after being reminded by others, and ones that are willing to learn from marked duplicates after their own posts are closed as dups. There will be rather negative implications for the site's quality if this mechanism gets popularized.

@MartinSleziak That's pretty nice what you've done, I'm not sure what's the purpose of that Wayback Machine there, but it might be helpful to mention that the problem appeared in the first round of the open section, or simply at page 45 (since there are other problems numbered as 17 there).

@VAMSIKRISHNACHILAKAMARRI I have seen the post. After all, you might have noticed that I am one of the users who edited the question.
Even if the question gets undeleted, in my opinion likely to get deleted again. (See Saad's message above.)
@Zacky Of course, some users would object to such edits. But as long as the question remains deleted, I don't think there is any harm - at the very least, we can have a discussion whether the revised form would be good enough to remain on the site and whether it can be reposted in that form.
We have certainly digressed quite a lot from the purpose of Math Mods' Office - OTOH all of this is related to the VAMSI KRISHNA's answer and they were directed to this room by Glorfindel.

@MartinSleziak From this meta post it's pretty clear the majority agrees with keeping improvements and not punish the askers which is straightforward abusive and vandalizes the post. Perhaps merging the two posts would be also good.

@MartinSleziak Yes Martin i had seen that you were one of the editors. And from Saad's message i understood why it was deleted. So i cannot get that lost reputation back?

@VAMSIKRISHNACHILAKAMARRI Reputation for deleted answers is kept if the answer has score at least 3 and if it was visible for 60 days. You can see more details here: Does reputation change if an answer gets deleted due to deletion of original post by vote(s)?
And, of course, if it gets undeleted you'll get the reputation, too.
We will see whether it gets deleted again or not.

@MartinSleziak Okay sir thank you for your guidance.

5:37 PM
@quid Thanks. I doubt I know anything that you do not.
