You shouldn't be asking random programmers about this. Do user research, find out what your customers are looking to achieve on your site and optimise for that. — jonrsharpe 9 secs ago

This site is for programmers, so they'll make up most of the people looking to answer your question. But more to the point it's extremely unlikely they'll be users of your website, so their (my!) opinion on the relative importance of features on it is irrelevant. — jonrsharpe 30 secs ago

I tried to keep it short, as I thought my question was pretty long already. That is why I only mentioned the hooks and actions I used. I will update my post. Please note that I am not even looking for a coding service. In my search for a solution I found similar questions many times, and working solutions for that, but never for calculating the shipping cost over a part of the cart contents. I think it can be very useful for other WooCommerce users/programmers as well who could face this in the future. — Rick L. 24 secs ago

@SoftwareEngineer there's nothing wrong with delete. It mutates the data rather than returning a new array. But if you want to offer that up as a solution go nuts. — Andy 39 secs ago

@SoftwareEngineer FWIW I didn'r see it as a criticism. Your solution is correct. Sometimes finding the balance on this site is halfway between telling someone (who is perhaps new to coding) how to do something, and teaching them how they might approach a solution. It's why I make a decent attempt to litter my code with comments, and pointers to documentation that they might useful in the future. It's the bane, and a pleasure, of being senior engineer to junior ones. — Andy 40 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please read Open Letter to Students with Homework Problems. You can't just dump your problem statement here and expect us to do it for you. It's also a good idea to take the tour, read about what's on-topic in the help center, and How to Ask. — Chris 51 secs ago

I can't seem to figure out if they are deprecating volatile-qualified methods. Writing "volatile correct code" in a manner in accordance with drdobbs.com/cpp/volatile-the-multithreaded-programmers-b/… is quite a good model. I'm hoping their intent isn't to break this model. — David Bien 50 secs ago

Recommendation: read the following documentation, particularly the section on the return value. Programmers tend to be either lazy or speed obsessed, and neither personality type will waste time returning a diagnostic value if it's not important. — user4581301 11 secs ago

Questions that ask "where do I start?" are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start and edit your post. — gunr2171 33 secs ago

Please take the tour to learn how Stack Overflow works and read How to Ask on how to improve the quality of your question. Then check the help center to see what questions you can ask. Please see: Why is “Is it possible to…” a poorly worded question? (don't just change your question to "How"). Please show your attempts you have tried and the problems/error messages you get from your attempts. — Progman 49 secs ago
