"Is there any way to convert "EMP_GRADE" to the JSON array" Yes. --- Now read "Why is “Is there any way to…” a poorly worded question?". --- Well, I should have said "maybe", since it depends on which JSON library you're using. — Andreas 26 secs ago

Welcome on Stack Overflow! Please take the 2-minute tour and read at least the help topics What types of questions should I avoid asking? and What topics can I ask about here? Your question is clearly off-topic for Stack Overflow as it is not a programming question related to code written by you on which you need the help of other programmers to get it working. So please delete your question here on Stack Overflow and ask it on Super User. — Mofi 7 secs ago

Please note that quickly resorting to asking someone else for solution is a behavioral anti-pattern which is very easy to learn but is very hard to unlearn; developing it may become a very real obstacle in your career as a software engeneer—that's because "code monkeys" are, and possibly will, be in demand, but if you want to be an engeneer, you have to learn to do problem solving yourself. I would—again, absolutely honestly—recommend to read this classic piece thoroughly. — kostix 19 secs ago

This is a question about systems design, not a specific software bug or problem that exists in an existing codebase. The actual questions in your post are about software patterns and can be answered in a programming-lang-agnostic way. Sorry but I think that your question belongs in a different stack, perhaps softwareengineering.stackexchange.comScott Anderson 1 min ago

Well, like I said: I am using the usage of volatile described in drdobbs.com/cpp/volatile-the-multithreaded-programmers-b/…. This requires that "threadsafe" methods are marked volatile and thus callable on "threadsafe" volatile objects. I don't want the hardware version of it - but because I mark my AddRef and Release methods volatile - because they are correctly volatile according to "volatile correct programming" as described in the article. However, then C++ forces a volatile int there - even though I don't want it to be volatile - because the method is volatile. — David Bien 1 min ago
