Considering that the mobile area is quite litigated because of patents, how is Canonical preparing to deal with that when introducing Ubuntu for phones? Notice that Google didn't give it much importance at first and it and its partners have had lots of issues with them.

Is there some documentation that tells exactly how you get reputation points on askubuntu? I have been here one day and I have 23 reputation points but I have no idea how I got them and I can not find any documentation on the site.

@Alvar this doesn't have to be a dream. simple single-DEB-installable package or even single-static-build executable. UI consists of 3 buttons. 1) "Yes, run!", 2) "upload to pastie" (greyed out when no internet connection), 3) save file to flash drive

@gertvdijk we should make clear that it only takes hardware and software information, nothing about the user or such. To you and me this is obvious, but to a new user it isn't.

First I appended the line to my .profile and perfect. Then I've read the comments:

@gertvdijk doesn't work. i haven't had success with it. for what it's worth, it's almost an embedded system, so it's a 2 minute downtime in the middle of the night.
@Alvar it could feature some very basic features (hidden), like "hey, it looks like you have BCM4311 broadcom wireless adapter and you're not connected to the internet. I think this issue is already addressed on AskUbuntu... read http://... first on PC with internet"

@Alvar maybe just some heuristics that may help the user. "hey, it looks like you have a network adapter not claimed by any driver, is your question about this? I've ticked the "Network information" box for you" or "hey, it looks like 30 packages on your system are marked broken. would you like to include the package information in the report?"

It gave me the inet address as 192.168.0.3
So, this should be the address through which I should be able to access the server right?

@FEichinger Not people with old hardware who cannot run CS3+ as well. Anyway, I think this Forbes article explains the situation accurately (though I cannot be totally sure). The issue is that the download requires a valid, purchase serial number. I'm not sure what the legal status of downloading it without a serial number is ...but without one, you can't install it.
anyways they shutdown the activation servers, and released versions that don't try to activate, as well as releasing general serials. I would have suggested cutting off old users before this, because they shot themselves in the foot for enforcing

@iSeth yeah, thanks, good question/good answers. But after several hours i understand, that Cinnamon Wiki not enough for my needs. (not full documented, many features hidden in applets/or js with this framework. And not enough comments in code :)
for scripting I mainly use bash. obviously not the best choice for applets. actually javascript is a good choice I guess, just the whole callback thing is annoying with javascript.
