@StefanoPalazzo interesting, its respecting the option on the second image, but the first output image is always at position/frame 1 which is a black photo :|
ah, it appears that using the -ss option with an absolute time-code value. eg: 00:00:07
so i dont have to specify the frame, it supports passing it the value of the spec. start time. and couple that with a -vframes option of just 1 it'll give me a single-shot of that specified time in the video timeline.

I've added it to seahorse with ssh-add.
I would like avoid having seahorse ask me for the passphrase every login.
Is there any way to disable this? Or to enter it forever? Or to have one one user given trust...
Curious to hear how others are adapting to Unity -- I'm getting used to it, but w/o the gnome 2.x taskbar, I miss being able to see & click on background or minimized windows. Any ideas for dealing w/ that?

@JamesGifford I mean, I'm running firefox, it's maximized, the downloads window is in the background, because a download is going on. I'm accustomed to opening that in-the-background window from the taskbar
