@AskUbuntuMeta Ask Ubuntu has about 925,662 registered users, 39 users is hardly a quorum, especially if most of the users with questions about 14.04 have a rep of (1) and can't vote. (There are 20,441 questions on Ask Ubuntu tagged 14.04).
@JourneymanGeek I don't understand, please explain. What does this have to do with getting everything done? by outlawing questions on ESM systems you are getting less done than by allowing them.
@C.S.Cameron I mean, you can't expect a quorum of all users - a significant part of the userbase ask one or more questions than leave, many don't get involved on meta...
and meta is pretty much how we do governance.
So 'waiting for a quorum' isn't happening. Those 47 users bothered enough to look in on meta and vote
@C.S.Cameron what did No mean there anyway? I don't think it meant that we will support releases in ESM, just that we won't bother to change the wording of the close reason (but we'll still close the same questions for the same reason)
eventually, I hope to get the whole EOL policy repealed :D
since as I mentioned earlier, it doesn't have community support
@terdon the thing is, it really seems like most people feel the same way as you (and me) (I mean about closing questions about old releases being silly)
