I don't have enough rep to suggest a one-character edit to this answer, but is someone able to adjust --gapplicarion-service to --gapplication-service? (r -> t)
@technastic_tc getting a lot of heavy showers and gusts from outer fringes of the system. Still some uncertainty but seems it will hit the coast slight north of Pondicherry some time tomorrow (and then go northwest bringing rain and wind across a large area). Expecting extremely heavy rain and high winds tomorrow. Wet weather likely to continue but expected anyway at this time of year. Power may be out, but not expecting severe damage here, should be ok. Not sure about Pondy

@Pythoniscool gnome-tweaks is a must-have. No need to hesitate about installing it. As for changing the theme, if it can affect performance, the effect is probably unnoticeable. Usually, just installing a theme cannot harm your computer (I haven't seen such a case myself), let alone force you to reinstall. However, just to be on the safe side, trying things you are not familiar with in a virtual machine is a good idea.
@Pythoniscool unity-tweak-tool offers advanced settings for the Unity desktop environment. It has no use on the GNOME desktop, for which gnome-tweaks provides them.
