alright, not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I didn't want to make another "ubuntu won't boot" question - I'm installing Ubuntu on a Lenovo c940 alongside Windows and I can't get it to run grub no matter -what- I do
I've tried the liveusb with default settings, I've tried it with funky settings... I have no idea why I don't get a grub, it doesn't even show up in the bios

There's a section in the (very modern and weird looking) bios that has an option for Secure Boot. He put it on Disabled, I tried putting it back on Enabled and that ... still didn't turn it on

So, for anyone who was curious how my problem ended up: turns out that disabling Optane is the only sane way to do this. Once Optane is disabled, it's fairly straightforward.
