Sometimes lsusb shows my USB and sometimes not. When it does, the Wifi tab appears and searching for available Wifis then my VM starts to lag with no results so i had to eject it.

PS: I tested it on Windows 10 and it works fine.
I can't install a package or upgrade the ubuntu server.

For example, this is a question that was asked 10 years ago: How to run scripts on start up?
It's the top result for "startup script ubuntu" and many other such queries. Most of the top answers are outdated, but there are a couple of good answers in the thread.

@jokerdino Can't believe my eyes actually, when a whining, full of self-esteem and self-pity - post, saying "oh, how dare he touch MY post, named like I WANT IT. I WANT RESPECT." actually gets a single vote, but it's got six... AND he is wrong technically. The world is full of surprises.
It's not easy and we are all learning to live with each together. It's a process.
For the record, that person did flag that he doesn't like the edits and that was way before the edit war happened.
Still, I appreciate that they brought it to meta for a discussion and I suspect they did eventually realize that they are wrong and just trying to save their face. Natural reaction, IMO.
Must be a language thing, but I read he is not satisfied and wants his "justice". I would have expected a gentle (not my strongest quality, I know) suggestion that that is not how AU works, as an answer, but all we get is... not that.
Currently, the OT close reason's text is the following:
This is not about Ubuntu. Questions about other Linux distributions can be asked on Unix & Linux, those about Windows on Super User, those about Apple products on Ask Different and generic programming questions on Stack Overflow.

I have a java app which is launched by a shell script.
The first part of the shell script is to resolve the java location by looking at $JAVA_HOME.
The shell script is working well if launched from the terminal but it fails if launched by double-clicking the .desktop which contains the following ...

@Kulfy I've never noticed until now you put yourself up for moderator election, but why does your avatar have an APO name tag when your name is Kulfy???

@JacobVlijm A lot of people feel entitled... (Don't fall into that same trap!)
I am trying to dual boot windows 10 and ubuntu.
My Windows 10 is updated to the last version 2004 (OS build 19041.264).
I tried many times but it didn't work me.
Here is the steps that I followed regarding to the tutorial from YouTube "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI3ywh636IU":

@terdon If I was expressing aggresively, I appologize. I don't know how to say things differently in a digital-only worls. I meant what I said though, I resent having to deal with a "they all like what I did, so it has to be right" -kind of argumentation. Allergic to it. Braiam isn't the most political user, but he stands for his own technical argumentation. Which is rarely incorrect.
@terdon wait, you found my answer aggresive? (dangerously assuming you just downvoted)
@JacobVlijm I didn't vote. I deleted my comment, but apparently not quickly enough :/ But yes, everything you wrote in the comments there as well as what you've said in here was needlessly aggressive. "horrible, horrible argument"? The way you completely dismissed the OP wasn't helpful either. All parties were at fault there, it takes two to start an edit war.
The right thing to do when you see the OP revert your edit twice is to walk away and flag, or to leave a comment explaining why you are making the edit or something. not to just redo the edit all over again.
Agreed, hence my "apart from the edit war". I never said I agreed with (also) Braiam's edit war, I disagree with the "don't touch my question, it is MINE, and it stays like that no matter what."
I was looking at the election page and was surprised how some of the nominees don't have 100% of the moderation badges. Only to find out it was the sportsmanship badge that is missing.
That badge requires the following:

I have a linux server on a cloud (Aruba), and I access it by Windows Remote Desktop, accessing by the "vdesktop" user.
When connected, I can open a terminal window and login as root for command line working.
After some time I don't have any more space on disk, so I tried to free it, and I did:

I am on the verge of being banned from asking questions on Stack Overflow. I'm not sure why, I guess people don't really like my questions.
But without bashing on S.O. too much, I legitimately want to know if asking one more "bad" question on there would also ban me from ALL subsidiary QA sites ...
So I had installed Pop recently, and everything was working smooth until today. I was installing nodejs, and got error messages on my terminal indicating that my drive is now "read-only". I restarted my laptop, and since then, everytime I get this sequence:

I have the following script which has been running for over 3 days:

Is it possible to find out how far it has got with the sequence?
Below I'll show a part of my code (a method I've created) and I would like to ask what would be your suggestions to improve the readability and make it more beautiful.
