Q: Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop - date and time synchronization issue

flamingo_starkI did a clean install of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on my laptop a couple of days back. During installation, I chose the timezone to be my local time zone i.e., Kolkata, India (Indian Standard Time). However, after booting my system, the time and date are showing incorrect values. Displayed values: date:...

@DKBose I have to admit, stuff like this belongs to one of the parts of the Internet which I despise.

@Fabby If I told you I'd be giving away my secret of earning so many bounties :P haha j/k google search engine

@WinEunuuchs2Unix Nah. 90% of all effort it Googling using the correct keywords

@Fabby Because I didn't have a clue what he was talking about my curiousity got the better of me

FYI I was in the kitchen when you posted and removed those last two comments

I was once told by a Buddhist monk I'm only here on this plane to help others advance to the next plane. Nothing else.
Too late again! :P
I'll hangout you!

2:39 PM
@Fabby Jeez this time I was writing my new program prom which temporarily overrides the shell's prompt of $USER@$HOSTNAME and I missed your comments again...haha

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I pinged you on hangouts.

Oh google hangouts? I don't even know where my phone is, can't see it and didn't hear it. I only use my phone when traveling to / from work and today is Saturday :)\

@WinEunuuchs2Unix No worries: Monday is fine.

2:57 PM
@Fabby It probably won't be Monday because I've never used Google Hangouts and probably never will. All my social media accounts were suicided about 8 years ago when government agents polluted the media-verse. Fakebook and Twithead haved turned into the thought police even. Truly orwellian in nature IMO.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix Telegram?

3:09 PM
@Fabby No Telegram. But I have thought of it if I get an intellectual-property-orientated-company as a means for employees to share ideas.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix SMS?

@Fabby You're asking if I have a phone? LOL yes.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix Too late... I'll email you my private number.

Q: Kibana not available (through HTTP) after changing server hostname

AngeloI (tried) to install iRedMail. After that my Kibana is not accessible anymore through a browser (it always was before). I think it has to do with me changing the server its hostname (Set a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) hostname on your server). Does anyone know what I can try or do to make ...
