Q: How to downgrade Ubuntu releases

vtestI have a Alienware laptop which has Windows 10 and Ubuntu 19.04 installed. In my project, I want to use .NETCore, which is not compatible with Ubuntu 19.04, so I have to downgrade to 16.04. How can I downgrade from Ubuntu 19.04 to Ubuntu 16.04?

Q: Notice of deletion

anonWhen something of yours is deleted (answers, comments, questions, Area 51 proposals) it would be nice to get some kind of notice other than just not being able to find it anymore. You receive notices for everything else that can be done to something of yours, and often relating to something of yo...

Ah cheers
Cc @JJoao ^
@vidarlo just read that - nice to see :) I generally appreciate Jon Ericson's posts
how are you doing @JourneymanGeek ?
About the same lol

04:14
Naw. It's a good question with a lane answer
I was trying to think what you might have answered last time so I could work out what it was the same as
I hope it was good hahaha
Same job. Matchmaking hasn't come up with anyone and my back isn't killing me
;p
So very status quo
wow it's a long time you were trying to do that, matchmaking I mean, gotta be hard
it's good that your back is not killing you. That would be like your own back stabbing you in itself

my back seems to like the hard surfaces it gets given to rest on lately. Not giving me any bother at all which is impressive. Every woman in my mum's family has a bad back. I should tell them all to try sleeping on the floor
@Zanna office chairs suck

I bought a wooden dining room chair for my "office" and it's good

But that was work so... ;p
@Zanna I saw it as a 5 year investment at least. So about 10 dollars a month over the period
@JourneymanGeek searched and it's coming up at more than 1 lakh in INR O.O wow
@JourneymanGeek it's worth spending to get the things you are constantly using right imho

conanDrumI am adding a chain using iptables: iptables -N ETDROP When I reboot, this is lost. @WinEunuuchs2Unix : In some comment an a question you mentioned "Others have been reporting false temperature readings lately". Do you have examples? Is that with "sensors" only? or "turbostat" also?
15:26
@WinEunuuchs2Unix : Actually, his sensors output looks O.K. to me, it is just that the sample was taken (I am guessing) after the thermal throttling has already settled to 84-85 degrees.
15:44
@DougSmythies Sorry I was typing from my phone which is awkward and reference look up challenged. Others have been reporting kernel messages saying CPU throttled due to temperature is what I was trying to say.
16:04
@WinEunuuchs2Unix : Oh. Thanks for clarifying.

@Fabby Do they explicitly mention this thing somewhere?
@Fabby Elementary is #4 :O
@Fabby lol. If you want TRUE Ubuntu: tuxedocomputers They sell systems with tuxedo OS (but it looks like an extra PPA with things like drivers collected in one source) but also vanilla Ubuntu Budgie
17:54
@Rinzwind inferring Ubuntu Budgie is for the birds? :P
sure is!
or for tuxedo users
18:09
To tell the truth I have no idea what Budgie is, just when I see it my instinct is to vote close as off-topic
official ubuntu flavour :=)

en PerisI have created this .sh file #!/bin/bash java -jar /opt/elcor/web/elcor-web-0.1.1-SNAPSHOT.jar and everytime I upload a new version in /opt/elcor/web/ I have to manually modify the script, and I want to know if there is a way to do it automatically

Pop!_OS's icons seems to be inspired by papirus and they didn't mention AFAIK.
Hey Guys,
I am facing, "No Bootable device found" error. Please help me to recover from this. Your help is mush appreciated. thans
it seems I have deleted some core files from /dev /etc by mistake
@manian Well that's very vague. Please provide details like for which "device" you are talking about (HDD/SSD or USB)?
its HDD. But I tried to recover using bootable USB
and it was 16.04
@manian I suggest you to please post a question on main site and include details such as what were you doing, when this happened, what you tried so far, etc.
@Kulfy, sure I will post a question on the main site. Thanks
I have tried lot of solutions from SO but no success yet

@karel : people disagree a lot whether this is or is not a duplicate:
link to question, I upvoted your comment and agree: there is some overlap, but not a full overlap, thus not a duplicate...
