I get this an error when trying to run man on a Linux system:
$ LC_ALL=C man man
man: Too many arguments
Try 'man --help' or 'man --usage' for more information.
My man command doesn't seem to be an alias:
command -v man: /usr/bin/man
What's going on?

I was given a messed up Lenovo 100-14IBY laptop that has linux in it but a lot of functions on the keyboard are switched and some don't respond (backlight/brightness control, volume control etc).

Does anybody know a fancy way to format an epoch timestamp like 1547919645 into a string like "in 10 minutes"? If the timestamp is far more in the future, I'd like to see "in 10 days" or something like that, not "in 1,440 minutes".
I could easily write such a function, but maybe there already is one. I mean, date accepts strings like "now + 5 minutes" or "now + 10 days". I just want it the other way round.
what is the bash script to divide input files which has name end with string"out_root" and script should take input file name and number of output files and number of output files generated should have name "out_part1_root,out_part2_root,so on???

/bin/rm -f ~/Desktop
sudo ln -s ~/Documents ~/Desktop
Above creates a symlink connecting the desktop to Documents folder and whatever you want. I still have to refresh desktop manually to complete the process.

@Rinzwind Well, I do know scripts that do it, but they aren't standard. So I'll write a function on my own. It's not too complicated. Basically if $delta < 60 minutes; then show $minutes; elsif $delta < 24hours; then show $hours... etc.
The question came to my mind when I was looking for a way to tell when a system is due to shutdown. I stumbled upon your answer but it didn't work on my 18.04.
@jrg That was just pseudo code to show the idea. I would write it in perl, bash, or python, depending on my current mood.
Actually, the langauge doesn't matter (as long as I'm familiar with it). If I'd write such a function, I'd write it according to the old Unix spirit: "one tool, one purpose" so it works with echo 1547919645 | relatime and then gives 10 minutes ago ;-)
