The volume control is resetting itself to zero volume. The speaker icon is marked red. Kmix produces the following when I run it in a terminal:

I'm having issues with /etc/fstab mounts which were working yesterday but randomly stopped after my machine had a power crash.
The /etc/fstab command is this:

netmask 255.255.255.0

And I change the file /etc/resolv....
@belacqua heres the weird part, the mount point is a windows machine, and other windows machines can mount this drive, its just linux to windows that is not working
So, it probably won't help much, but do a man fsck some time. Basically, your system does this for you occasionally on boot, but you can get it to do it manually.
I agree with @belacqua with doing a fsck on the root partition of your linux machine ;)
When looking around, it looks like its about not using an IP address and using a DNS name but like you said, if it worked before, then that bug isn't the problem :P
I noticed that https://errors.ubuntu.com does not include any mono packages.
Why is it that not a single mono application has generated a crash report?
Am I to assume that mono applications don't crash?
Does mono handle crashes in a way not detected in the crash reporting service?
Managed to fix it. For info this appears to have happened because I use an external monitor. The process to fix was:
Disconnect Monitor, reboot
Used Ctrl-Alt-F1, logged in as myself, ran startx
Prompted by system to install post-release nvidia driver, did that
Rebooted
Plugged in external moni...
@sadmicrowave Can you setup the windows share to not use a username? I haven't used windows in awhile and thats were I would start to see if its a windows or linux problem ;)
maybe... but since 'error 13' talks about permissions and since a username and password helps you get those permissions, we need to make sure that it isn't the username/password you have stored in /etc/.na02passwd
@sadmicrowave troubleshooting it to see if its Linux not sending over the correct credentials or is it Windows just doesn't want to accept what the Linux machine is asking
@ruffEdgz well, we tried connecting to the windows box from yet another linux box and it fails also there....which seems like its the windows machine now refusing the credentials
