I am having issues updating Java. I am running Ubuntu 11.10.
I can execute sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk and it completes successfully. javac -version is 1.7, however java -version is 1.6. This is similar to this problem but my issue is not, as far as I can tell, the path.

we picked up new clients this week. so i'm on fire.
that and my SEO specialist decided it was time for her to take an adventure into VPS land - setup a network of about 50 wordpress sites that were all compromised.
yup, i had an instance like this with a poorly configured wordpress site on goodwillcardonation. They had about 8 billion unused plugins active. and most if not all of them were out of date.
within 3 hours of the site being deployed it got hit by an attack. i redeployed from the AMI i created while it was still in the protective shell of the firewall, and stripped it down, upgraded it, and redeployed it.
I got ya. Owncloud is a webservice, not a GUI application.
You can only see it from a web browser, and as for how you access it, I can't tell you off hand cause I don't have an active owncloud instance right now (server is sitting here... doing nothing)
And translating engineering speak into plain ol common english so i can communicate with non geeks about geeky subjects. Instead of the tired mantra of , x is like chocolate, y is like peanutbutter. You only want chocolate in your peanut butter in xyz situation.

This is actually a security bug with Seahorse, the tool that manages passwords. A bug report has already been filed both in Launchpad and GNOME bug tracker regarding this bug. You can also read up on the Ubuntu forums thread that was discussing this exact issue with Seahorse.
How do I subscribe...

Nothing, but down voting is more effective imo, there are a lot of this does not help answers in the site, this is just one of them. A few more from this guy and he gets his account suspended instead for low quality posts.
yep, that is always an option, but please also down vote it, the system will auto trigger an action on those giving us more reasons to close and investigate the user.
both flags are great btw. I have down voted both posts and left them open for other mods to have a look, one or 2 more of these from him and we act on his account.
account > posts, down votes gives us reasons to act on the account instead of the posts.
@Oli I understand, but I have been getting some rep up on my old questions by someone (on the last 20 mins), (dont know who, really). I appreciate it but if its getting me in to trouble just remove the rep or lock my account or what ever :(
