Well, it's easy to test. Open users-admin. Open /etc/gdm/gdm.conf (or light). Check the Don't prompt for password box. You'll see it does not alter the config file, yet if you log out then back in, it works right away. open the config file and it will e unaltered

I'm confident that I do not need a password for my computer. How do I remove passwords for things like when the screensaver activates and installing software?
Here is how you can enable passwordless login from Ubuntu 11.10 onward.
Go to System Settings → User Accounts
Unlock the administrative functions by clicking the Unlock button in the top right corner and entering your password.
Select the user for which you want to enable passwordless login....

@OctavianDamiean I thought when you were passwordless login, you don't have to enter a password, you just enter, whereas autologin, I'm guess you don't get the greeter.
@bambuntu Yeah, I think the only difference between the two is that one has a shorter timeout set. The greeter is still running, it's just doing its auto-login quicker.
I'm attempting to get an Ubuntu MinimalCD Install working without much luck..
Working from the guide posted here I can get the CD to boot and I select the Command-Line Installer option. After selecting my Language and Keyboard settings the installer fails on Configure the network with DHCP with...
@rlemon I think your only remaining option... it to put this little computer on a plane and also smuggle some snakes and some snake pheromone on too, and release the pheromone when the plane hits its max altitude. The snakes will kill everybody and your computer will end up rotting at the bottom of the sea.
@rlemon I had a look around and some people complain that the chipset in your network card is a bit tricky to work with, some report that "if the card is disabled in windows via the driver it will stay off an survive reboots". The best sugestion until now was really get another card and use that one instead :/
After the latest light-themes update today the menus for Ambiance are light as if they actually belong to Radiance. Some icons also end up having a orange box as a background as well but that's an entirely different bug.
