Right click the title bar and choose minimize from the menu. Or use gnome tweak too to make the minimize button appear.

I'm not trying to advocate for one DE over another since I basically like them all, but in gnome the minimize button isn't exactly needed since it's more based on using the spread from the super key or alt-tab to cycle through. Unless you're running the extension for a window bar, minimizing doesn't make a lot of sense since it just goes away. Again, not advocating, just pointing out.

If you don't have graphics drivers, a clone is doable.

@chaskes Well the "deal-iness" for me is I don't minimize windows very often, and navigating over the tiny button (-) takes me time so right click anywhere on title bar is probably just as fast if not faster.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I'm just not sure why you think I said anything that disagrees with your points. :) I rarely even bother to minimize in gnome since like I said it's more geared to choosing windows through the spread or alt-tab. Plus, standard gnome doesn't have a window bar for the minimized win to land on anyway.

I run Enlightenment on an old netbook with a 1 GHz Atom CPU and 1 GB of RAM. Feels like new. Well, until you launch Chrome.

Usage is 2% at idle for me.

I'm at 56 C but used to run at 86 C before I fixed things. When it was broken Intel Powerclamp would kick in and Kidle inject would make CPU look like 80%.
