The Afghan food looks similar to Iranian food that I'm familiar with @edwinksl - it's very underappreciated I think, the Iranians make the most amazing rice, and what they do with herbs is uniquely awesome

I come from a working class family and my mum hated cooking when we were kids. I grew up eating very boring simple food... I vividly remember going to stay with my school friend Sonia whose mum made us fajitas when I was 14... it was amazing for me!

She made other exciting foods too, but that was the first thing I remember eating that had like, multiple flavours hahaha
