i'm going to throw down some speedups by using the HTML5 datastore and cache the ajax data for an hour or so, and throw down some cache checking which will make this much nicer to use, right now the data-pulls are causing browser freezes when iterating over 50+ entities of data.
That sounds similar to what I'm doing for the API wrapper - making use of localStorage and SQL database where possible to store the data locally for a set amount of time.
yeah pulling from the API every time is horribly inefficient
its ok during dev -- because the only person its going ot affect is me. but once i push this out for everyone to use its going to cause some complaints.

You cant do so in a terminal, but you can do so in a tty using fbi. You need a framebuffer to allow this to work
sudo apt-get install fbi
Go to a virtualterminal(TTY) and enter fbi <filname>
It should show your image
