We talked about a few different ways to handle it. One simple way was a banner that says "Have a question, ask on Ask Ubuntu"

but it'll be hard to know how they will take that, or if they'll accept that as a solution

Dash comes up behind other applications

I occasionally get the dash coming up behind the rest of my applications. This isn't about fullscreen apps (like bug 763680), but rather everyday (maximized) apps. It doesn't always happen. But when it does, it doesn't fix itself. That is, for the rest of the session, I'll have a behind-apps dash. even if it's working most of the times, i recommend logging out and back in over restarting unity/compiz in a running session (obviously don't do it if you need anything from the session :D) - this still causes stacking issues.

I am packaging an application that contains binaries that would normally go in /usr/bin and a shared library that would go in /usr/lib. However, the package guidelines suggest that binaries should go into /opt. What is the proper way of putting these files into /opt yet making sure they are in ...

Q: Are there transcripts of UDS sessions?

I've been trying to listen to one of the UDS (Ubuntu Developer Summit) sessions today - had a great deal of trouble with interference. Are there transcripts available of sessions?

Q: How to open windows only on one monitor?

I have seen this question, and I would like something similar. When a new window is opened, I would like it to be shown on my primary monitor. Then if there is a need, I would drag it to the secondary monitor. Is there a way to do it? I am using xfce and gnome, and I have 2 seperate X Sessions.
