I'm having issues with a Lenovo T460P running Ubuntu 16.04 The following keys get stuck on repeat: F5 F6 5 6
For example, if I hit 5 in a terminal I get "5~~~~~...." where the ~ just keeps repeating or if I hit F5 in a browser it infinitely refreshes the page.

My laptop contained a UEFI dual-boot system. I sent it out for hardware repairs and the dealer has reinstalled Windows 8 and, for good measure, wiped all Linux partitions (incidentally, without asking about the opportunity of it).
However, as I check the boot manager, I can still see the boot e...
How do I run a listening program (specifically unoconv as a listener) inside a container using systemd-nspawn, so that it can run in the background (without a console) and be reached by other processes? For example in a perfect world it would be as easy as this:

I need some down-votes on an answer that advocates destructive operations during data recovery. It's not NAA or LQ, so I don't think it should be removed.

sigh I've been advised I have to install kernel ~4.6.5 to get my bluetooth to work... I am trying to overcome my laziness... but I'm feeling I will have other problems if I do that...
I already grabbed a windows 10 driver & added a btattach service file... I am almost there - bluetooth & btattach services are loaded & running, bluetooth icon lights up, thinks it's running, i just cannot pair anything
I have to blacklist one bluetooth module btsdio because it causes havoc... but other people have got it working on my device without that afaik
I've considered it, but I have been given the answer 'install a newer kernel' elsewhere... so I think I need to actually exhaust that option... or just give up because I don't really need bluetooth
Well the really nice thing about it is using bluetooth speakers around the house :) that's a use case I'd want in on if I didn't live with 3 people I already don't get on with :(
I should fix it because this is my current audio situation: $ dmesg | grep sst [ 7.698733] sst-acpi 80860F28:00: No matching ASoC machine driver found [ 8.294611] intel_sst_acpi 80860F28:00: No matching machine driver found
