One time I was having a whole conversation in Tamil with a British guy on the road. Some of the locals were looking at us with pure shock as if the moon had just fallen out of the sky
what, westerners living in India? There are actually hundreds or even thousands of westerners here, depening on time of year. Or are you talking about the language thing?
Yeah, I'm talking about Ramana Maharshi. It's actually really interesting even if you're not a devout Hindu... Ramana didn't really care much about the traditional things, his teachings were more metaphysical
I don't consider myself a convert myself... I think there is wisdom in a lot of traditions including Hindusim (Advaita Vedanta), Sufism, Gnosticism, Zen, etc. But I think Ramana Maharshi was one of the greatest teachers in modern times.
Hello everybody! Can someone help me? I tried to use rsync to copy my files on an external hard-drive. I did not think about doing any logging settings. When rsync finished it said:
rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1183) [sender=3.1.1]

It is just an idea. There could be once a month voting for "best" member of the month. It would be just a way to say thanks for all the help. Every member could for example give 3 votes for others (not possible to self vote).
Yeah because you never know, you might get upvotes from others but the answer may not be accepted within that time, many people drop their questions and vanish for 1-2 days
It's just a matter of probability.. The question was viewed by almost 1000 people... Only 1.8% of them voted on your answer (many of them probably weren't even members of AU).
I want to submit multiple jobs to the PBS queue. I have a cluster with 4 nodes, each with 12 dual core CPUs. After I submit the job, I notice that each node takes two jobs and there are two jobs left waiting in the queue. When I type pbsnodes -a, I notice that the nodes have this "job-exclusive" ...
@AbhishekBhatia this should work if the vendor had provided a Windows tool... there may be issues with UEFI, ubuntu wiki recommends to backup the UEFI partition: help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate
@Fiksdal I meant using the Default DE with default File-manager is always better. Eg : If you want to yous xfce , I would say its best to use Xubuntu instead of installing Xfce on Ubuntu unity
@NathanOsman I'm gonna buy the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe because it has an x86 "processor. I can use chroot to install a Linux distro and the phone will double as a desktop computer.
@Videonauth So the story is steam advertised on their front page, and in the "coming" to steam os sale - saw a post that confirmed that they wernt even working on it.
When people come to this site, they seek help, and I acknowledge that. Now however, it is time to question how much they need to know before they come asking for help. I was scrolling through earlier when I found this. Now normally yes you get 1-2 decently bad questions, but this is just horrid. ...
Hi @jokerdino ! :) Hi @Videonauth ! :) what about flagging everything by default ... then you only have to care about the little amount of unflag votes ... :D :D :D
@Mateo well I got the font issue fixed, but now I've got more problems -.-
@Anthony eh, it might be not using the most optimal product, but most likely rosewill just bought a realtek chip and rebranded it. Ask a full question on the site tagged wireless though and someone more knowledgeable will look at it.
