Frankly I hate when people try to compare hardships, because we as humans live in the moment and taking everything subjectively, but whatever rocks your boat
@Zacharee1 So , legitimacy of a hardship is counted in how many people die ? It's a tragedy when one person or millions die of unnatural cause ( or lets call it as it is - straight up murder )
@Serg we're talking about "worst year ever". If we mean in your direct experiences, sure, maybe it was. But if we really mean "ever" then no. Not by a long shot.
@Serg I think ultimately the author of that tweet is getting at the same thing you are. Calling 2016 the worst year ever as an American is just downright silly.
@Seth That twitter post is twisting what every person might say subjectively into something that's not worth arguing about. We're humans have all have feelings. Just because there was something bad happening years ago, doesn't mean I can't have subjective opinion on my own experience. It's kind of like saying "you're not allowed to feel anything because of that event to which you have no connection and never experienced whatsoever".
IMHO, maybe we should focus on the coming year. Let's make 2017 great ( not again, just great and awesome ). Let's make a few people happy here and there, maybe donate to a few charities here and there. Maybe improve our beloved AU , here and there.
@KazWolfe looks like regular TCP transmission wave to me
@Seth :) It's perfectly fine. Whatever opinion you may have there, I respect that. I don't know what it is and might not agree, but keep in mind that I do respect that
The Joint Test Action Group (JTAG) is an electronics industry association formed in 1985 for developing a method of verifying designs and testing printed circuit boards after manufacture. In 1990 the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers codified the results of the effort in IEEE Standard 1149.1-1990, entitled Standard Test Access Port and Boundary-Scan Architecture.
JTAG implements standards for on-chip instrumentation in electronic design automation (EDA) as a complementary tool to digital simulation. It specifies the use of a dedicated debug port implementing a serial communications...
Now, I asked a question, but I need some help to be investigate and to be more specific (i.e. which log files should be includen in the question etc.). Can I get some help with that here? Thanks in advance!

@Videonauth A lady sued McDonalds >20 years ago because the coffee was hot and it burned her legs. She said there was no warning that coffee was hot. She won the lawsuit ~10 million dollars. So now will they have to put on a warning: "Hot liquids cause cancer"?
@WinEunuuchs2Unix That's actually a misrepresentation of the lawsuit. She in fact sued because the coffee they served her was too hot for consumption, and yet they served it to her for consumption. This was also long after McDonald's was warned for serving too hot coffee. msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/…
@WinEunuuchs2Unix All good. Knowledge is power. And you're not the only one who keeps the legend alive and well, as I myself said the same thing for years, too.
@Mkey yes if you know where everything should go, but to be honest, save yourself the headache, find your personal files and backup them, and reinstall, costs less time and less headache
@Videonauth This happened to me couple hours I was using ubuntu 16.04 lts with dual booting win 10. Now I have recovered win 8.... And i see that ubuntu partition is still there.... - is it possible to recover some files from that partition ?
@Videonauth Thanks a lot. I am just curious - out of panic i started the recovery right away... If i would have tried to boot windows without recovery it would have failed - yes? Also if i would have tried ctrl+z ... that wouldn't have worked - right?
if you initiated the mv already then its already to late, booting into windows, as long you leave the linux partitions alone will change nothing or make nothing worse
@Mkey Thats the nice stuff on Linux/Unix, it does not prevent you from shooting your foot, in fact it delivers mr. bullet to mr. foot in the most efficient way
