I tried 6 incorrect logins but 7 th time it logged in with correct password...not blocked.
Next time same 6 in correct...I opened tty1..It doesn't accepted my password until four times....then accepted.when I run the command "pam_tally2 --user ravan" ....It showed 0 failure attempts

I used to use it on my old HDD, to set max logins to 3

however , it resets counter after 3 attempts, it doesn't lock as on android

I am currently using Ubuntu 15.04 x64 and now want to switch to Debian so for that I have prepared a bootable usb stick but I don't want to lose my data that are in /home directory of Ubuntu but also I don't want to use Ubuntu (although it is good OS ). as I am not very expert with Linux install...

sudo m-a auto-install nvidia-kernel${VERSION}-source
sudo apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-settings nvidia-xconfig
sudo nvidia-xconfig

And that's on Debian, I think Ubuntu has some sort of GUI tool for it.

Install it. It won't help here, it's a diagnostic/system info tool but very useful. I think it's in the UBuntu repos now, so try sudo apt-get install inxi and then show us the output of inxi -G.

I'm not super involved in any one activity (too many for that lol) but my interests include biking, hiking, sailing, and bird watching.

I like photography too but I don't have a very good camera nor tons of time for that.

Sailing, always wanted to get into that ... would seem to involve renting or buying a boat though. Both of which sound kinda expensive.

@NathanOsman there's a guy around New York City I've seen that plays on buckets and various containers. Finally one day I saw him playing with a real band ... and he was still playing on the buckets.
