lets say I want to install X on Ubuntu. That kind of questions is just:
1. Fire up Ubuntu
2. Fiddle around about how to install the program
3. Profit!

Now lets say I have a problem installing Ubuntu. That kind of questions needs:
1. Figure out what of the 300 hundreds + 1 reasons could be wrong with the installation.
2. Find if there's a way to solve it.
3. Answer it or give up

it involves different process

i can work around xlib and screenscrape xrandr for 12.04 compat with python3 and no weirdo packages, but it should probably just be a will expire fork instead of in the code.

Yes... simpler too since a slider launches the callback to resize the window as you slide. Easier to use than guessing at numbers

my mind was thinking of the locking links, but I can't think of any reason to have it not locked

aspect ratio of the webcam. regular cam versus letterboxed. you don't want those black bits. they're ugaly

that's a task for another day though. dynamically find aspect ratio of the cam by inspecting a frame and checking size, then making the window match

@Oli I'm not merging all tags. I'm making them useful for answerers. I have 101 points in something I don't find useful at all and keep poping up in my front page. I find that as it currently is is not useful. I tried several times to make the community spring in motion about the current state of things but I got little (possitive) or no input. Unless someone makes me a counterproposal that fix the underlying cause of the problem (tagging sucks)
