Also, everything on Ubuntu can be fixed if broken. May require days of terminal madness. But it looks doable. On the other hand, if Windows breaks, it's broken. No hope for fixing it yourself, give it to your nearest repair shop. Simpler, I guess :p

Yeah the option to be able to repair things is a major advantage of an OSS OS

@Takkat there are some guys that do that in the non-OSS world too, but it's crazy complicated. see the guys that do home-brew temp binary patches for flash/acrobat reader until official patches are released
