Q: Can I remove the countdown when installing extensions in Firefox?

When installing an extension in Firefox, the confirmation dialog makes you wait 5 seconds before you can install the extension. I find it annoying and unnecessary, is there a way to shorten or remove the countdown so I can install extensions without waiting?

I had switched to libreoffice again

how is libreoffice coming along?

well it's looking pretty stable to me

I've had about 3 crashes in 3 months

or longer

and in terms of features, not much of a change from OpenOffice as yet, but you can pretty much feel the difference

Hmm,, I had it installed, i just don't use office apps much at home...

and at work I use MS Office (not proud of it :-( )

I used to have MS Office on my system

I actually plan to put it back on just in case people send me more stupid word art to print

although office 2010 is much better then the current open office

as much as I hate MS, and everything they stand for... they lead the pack in office suite usability

I think LibreOffice has a good opportunity to pull ahead - but it will take for a developer community that is less arrogant than GNOME and more sensible than KDE

right, of course, things can always change :-D we don't know what the future holds

one thing I must say MS Office has going for it is a well done design, even if it's confusing - at least you can tell someone put effort into it

@TheX There used to be a cool site for ubuntu tips related to that book ubuntukungfu.org but it has been "offline for maintenance" for at least a year. :(

I mean I don't oppose authors getting paid... or anyone getting paid for the work they do... but why don't they just tell the truth...

ubuntu pocket guide isn't really the same as the site though, it is more of an overview of the basics
