Thinking about a questline for my RPG... i have found spending time to think it through helps

Lol. I post questions first then ask "did i need to ask that?" After 3 downvotes. I got the ability and knowledge to make this quest... i just wanna get the details together before i boot my computer

@TheMattbat999 I've done that before. Thats how I learned to take the time to think it through and know when to scrap.

As for knowledge and ability that I don't have. That's why I ctrl+c, ctrl+v from SO/SE

@bruglesco yeah that does help. Despite the bafoon i can be sometimes, i generally know stuff. I got 2.4k on Arqade

I actually rarely copy from others. I steal their concepts and ideas like Sticky Fingered Lou, but i do the work myself

Idea I have in spades. Implementations not so much.

@TheMattbat999 TWP has a tendency to hit the HNQ and I've had a few answers get there.

@bruglesco yeah i seen one on HNQ before. If Arqade has no good questions to answer, i hop on HNQ and scroll until i see something interedting

Yes a fantasy game focused around a group called the Order of Light trying to stop vampires from activating the Amulet of Light, an ancient relic made by a great, ageless angel-sorceress to control the cycle of night and day

But of course you can ignore that and go adventure around

As a redhead I am a defacto vampire and as such I am going to root for them to win

Well there was a questline planned for vampires too, but i am unsure if i want an ending where vampires win for sake of a sequel

It's rainy today. And it's warm. So we won't have too much ice when the cold weather will come back!

@AlexandreVaillancourt That's good. Youve gotten a lot of snow right?

One of the guys in another chat shared a video from Quebec City and it is. Well a lot.

They have more than we do around Montreal :) The worst thing that we have that I'll be happy to get rid of is the ice covering the ground. Gotta watch where you step, and well, it's not super good for the car (fortunately, most roads have been cleared).

Yeah. I live a bit further south but we still get the bad winter storms sometimes. I'd rather have 12 inches of snow than even a thin layer of ice. Ice is way worse.

I don't know. I remember a few blizzards in the 90's that were pretty bad.

and 2005 had one too I think.

@Kevin Oh, that was for bruglesco. I don't remember storms and particularly nasty years. I just remember that when I was a kid, we had winter, there was snow, and once or twice, at most, a little bit of ice rain.

@AlexandreVaillancourt Where I live storms are slightly less common. I've only lived through ten blizzards so yeah I remember them.

Yeah. It's different now that I have kids, though. Before I'd just do stuff as I normally would. Go to work (but it takes more time to get there). Now I have to figure that the school will be closed, or that I'll not be able to park where I normally do..

yeah; I don't know about the round-trip of Unity, but with our software, it's code a bit, compile and run and test. There is some small down time here and there.

Oh gosh when you build a project in Unity (in whih compiles everything and prepares it for distribution) in can take hours

Yeah, but when you just want to test this feature you added or see if you fixed that small bug from the editor...

You can play it directly

Has buttons in editor so you can run game.

With a window labeled "Game"

Performance is better when you build and run it outside of the editor

Whenever you edit a script, it does a mini compile that takes seconds so you can test the game
