normally pedantic people say there are two sets of primary colors, one for additive color and one for subtractive (RGB vs CMY)
but really, any small set of colors that can be combined to create a useful range of colors could be called "primary colors"
3 colors are normally used for humans because our eyes are trichromatic, but for some animals and even some humans that doesn't hold true

If you have a static library it's pretty easy, but for dynamic there's some annoyances I think you have to deal with

well I'm sure there's a CMake way to do it, but eventually the C++ compiler needs to get "-lglfw" on the command line
then it will link "libglfw.a"
and you can handle visual C++ with a #pragma
okay so that much is right. it's complaining that it can't find the library, though, so I just need to figure out how to point it to the right directory.

okay, it seems that cmake puts things into an objects.a file, which is a lot smaller than what glfw is. I have no clue if that makes sense or not.

so we started with Monogame, but that wasn't good enough, so we started on our own framework instead

If you can't tell by my humor, the open source compiler tools kinda torture me on windows
I always end up just using VS on windows unless there are binaries ready to go
yeah, I just want to be sure my code will compile on both windows and linux at any time, depending on what parameters get passed to cmake. mingw should put that kind of constraint on me without actually installing linux...at least in theory...

I think it's faster, and gives better error messages.
It also has a modular compiler system, so to add a language you just write a new abstract syntax tree generator.
It's what emscripten uses.
It's part of the LLVM (low level virtual machine) project.

well ; I used a similar kind of code before and it worked perfectly fine.. I changed the value of max_velocity from 25 to 3 and then to 0.3 ; I even removed deltaTime to see how it behaves.. Without delta time ; it accelerates real quick..
/i forgot to mention; here's the code that updates:
currentBgY.y -= MainCar.getPosition();
it will yes, factoring delta time generally slows things down (as you're taking the speed per period and multiplying by how many periods there have been; typically a number close to 0)

Not enough information really, it could be a number of things.
For example, I don't know the type of any of the variables, I am guessing you're using Java, I don't know what units you're using (if any), and so on
it might be working just fine, but the speed is set too high and the cap too low

the solution was just to replace "+=" to "=" .. because the background update automatically deals with it..
