@JackBNimble she has been a meta-human in the comics more than not, I think; her canary cry being a natural ability.
but Arrow didn't go full-mutant until S3
of course, now they've opened the floodgates
@phantom42 I was a bit surprised that they left it up to Arrow to reveal that metahumans existed before the STAR Labs accident, but I assume they're using that as an excuse to introduce more "comicky" stuff into Arrow
@AwalGarg Not sure if you have enough rep to see this, but Ingu Sharma asked a question "Will there ever be an end to Harry Potter questions on this site?"
someone who has seen it could technically work backwards and provide an answer as far as what plot elements weren't explained well, but what people like us would probably consider "need to know" is probably different than what my mother would define
@phantom42 For the huge tentpoles, they've been pushing that back by months. I wasn't even ordering as soon as they were available. They were available since at least the start of March.
Imagine you completely ignored the previous movies of Marvel Cinematic Universe but you suddenly want to see The Avengers 2:Age of Ultron that was recently released. You also never read comic books in your life.
What are the necessary informations you need to know before going to see the movie?...
@phantom42 IMO, more comic book films should use their opening sequences for that. Watchmen is a particularly great example. IIRC, The Incredible Hulk did something similar.
