@Keen Can we have a Harry Potter promotion/celebration too? ^_^
yet another Marvel spin-off: "Adrianne Palicki & Nick Blood Eyed To Topline ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Spinoff"
(that's Bobbi and Hunter)
plus a rumored Ms. Marvel show.
that's current Ms. Marvel -- Kamala Khan the Inhuman
2

13 hours later…
13:51
Woo, Kamala's getting hers!
rumored
it's one of the two new Marvel shows they're pitching to ABC.
it'll be interesting to see if Marvel shows get any slack from ABC now that they're all one big happy money-printing-machine family
Read last night that AoS's ratings have jumped and is now the number one show in that timeslot.
actually, it may have been for the target demo, and not overall.
i need to hurry up and finish reading civil war so i can re-up my unlimited subscription and catch back up.
i read the first few issues of kamala's book and really liked it so far
14:08
number one show in the timeslot isn't as much of a big deal as the press releases like to claim.
it's all about how well it does compared to everything else ABC has. they can move shows around to cover timeslots.
AoS is below-average for an ABC show but not by a whole lot. so it's probably safe.
and if it gets a S3 it'll almost definitely get an S4
@MichaelEdenfield no, but it means ratings are improving, which people are always complaining about. i think it said it beat out one of the ncis shows.
they must have been talking demo tho.
possibly, it was pretty late and i was getting tired when i read it.
cuz it's up against NCIS: New Orleans and it doesn't even come remotely close.
AOS: 4.04 million
NCIA:NO: 14.40 million
lemme see if i can find it again
> Based on Live + 3 Day data for Tuesday, ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ranked as the #1 program in Tuesday’s 9 o’clock hour among Adults 18-49, leapfrogging over CBS’ NCIS: New Orleans to lead by a tenth of a rating point (2.5 rating vs. 2.4 rating). In the L+SD ratings, the ABC drama was 2-tenths behind the CBS drama, placing 2nd in the hour among young adults.
14:14
the one everyone actually cares about is the Adults 18-49:
AOS: 1.6
NCIS:NO 1.8
ah.
live + 3 day
that's the one to care about.
live + 3 day means they counted everyone who watched it on their DVR on wed/thur/fri
which means squat until someone figures out how to make money off it
its not doing bad in the ratings. ABC has way worse programs.. it's beating Castle.
> The next two episodes, beginning Tuesday (9 ET/PT), will have Easter eggs, plot threads and other connective tissue leading into the opening scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron, in theaters May 1.

Ultron co-star Cobie Smulders reprises her role as former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill on the series, and the May 5 episode will bring the Avengers aftermath back to the small screen "for the five people who don't see the movie that week," says Bell.
> He jokes that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't getting destroyed again — and neither is the rival faction "Real S.H.I.E.L.D." — but various subplots will converge. Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), who was introduced in the movies but is now on the run from Real S.H.I.E.L.D. with his posse, makes a move toward an uneasy alliance with Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), a member his team who was revealed as an enemy Hydra agent during the Winter Soldier crossover.
> Coulson and Real S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Robert Gonzales (Edward James Olmos) will have to see eye to eye for a little while so their teams can deal with the Hydra threat, and Bell reveals that the events in the movie impact how one group feels about the other.
14:32
I wonder if OlmostShield considers Tony Stark a "powered person" or not.
cuz if so, then a powered person nearly ending the world isn't gonna make them happy about Coulson's avengerettes.
@MichaelEdenfield Oh boy, everything's going to ABC? stupid corporate synergy.
I don't know of any Marvel shows being shopped anywhere else.
DC/WB has a show on every network other than ABC, I believe, though probably not in the same season :(
14:53
@MichaelEdenfield Well, the had shows on all those networks. Poor Constantine.
I don't think they have a CBS show right now.
@MichaelEdenfield Supergirl is in development for them.
they will next year but then they won't have one on NBC
And of course, PBS has been left out. :(
and CW gets 3
15:18
David Ramsey (Diggle) was also referring to the Flash*/*Arrow spinoff as Legends, so that's almost certainly its title.
or just a working title
sure
everything should just be called "blue harvest" during development
it at least gives us something to refer to it as besides 'that arrow/flash spinoff'.
Legends, huh? Is Mara Jade in it?
15:24
If it doesn't I don't give a rat's ass.
omg my Wolverine just lost a turn in Avengers Alliance because of Hardended Toad Spit
@MichaelEdenfield It happens every time.
There's a fake AoU post-credits scene on youtube with Spidey.
countdown to a question about it?
15:40
They claim Olmost SHIELD is ruled by committee, but I think it is pretty obivous Gonzales is acting like the Director.
Maybe Fury told Gonzales HE was the new director. Fury just went and created all these SHIELD factions for his own amusement.
He certainly seems to bully his way at least.
I assume he's the ranking member of the "committee"
other than the origin story has he ever not gotten his way?
To his credit. He did fight the Cylons for all those years.
Sure, but how long did they go unnoticed under his direct watch?
Does Coulson still have other SHEILD agents, or is just Hunter and Deadlock now?
That's true. He has a track record for allowing the enemy to infiltrate.
15:46
There are others stationed around the world.
deathlok
@JackBNimble he also seems to have a fetish for old naval vessels...
There were the ones in... Italy? that got killed. Maybe it was Puerto Rico. I forget.
I forget the episode, I just remember an ambush in a villa looking building, and some agents they were supposed to meet having been killed.
And I think they had to call Talbot about it for something.
I need more sleep. Or rum.
Avengers Alliance keeps confusing me by throwing together all these different continuities I've never heard of.
like, wtf is a Sugar Man?
@AwalGarg Go nuts. Anyone can post a promotion like I did, no special use of moderator or high-rep powers was required.
16:03
@Keen @AwalGarg That Ingu Sharma person will LOVE it. Do it!
> Marvel.com: It feels like with every film that’s come out since the series started, going all the way back to “Iron Man 3,” each movie sort of opens up a new set of toys that you guys then get to play with in the series. Without saying anything specific, is there anything that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” presents that could potentially lead to new things coming into S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Jed Whedon: I don’t know if you can gleam from the trailer, [but] there are robots in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” I don’t know if that’s obvious.
lol
> Marvel.com: I missed that. Are there robots? Where are they?

Jed Whedon: There might be some. But that’s an example of [something where] we would never want to put the cart before the horse. When there’s something big coming in the cinematic universe, we wouldn’t want to do robots before [the films], basically. That’s an example of something that, now that they’ve opened up the concept of A.I. and robots in the cinematic universe, we can have storylines that reflect that, or we can build story around those ideas. And then, as they introduce more characters, [we could have] people related
> Marvel.com: Wrapping things up, we also know that Cobie Smulders is coming back as Maria Hill. What can you say about her return and her role?

Jed Whedon: There are a few ways that we tie-in to the film and she is one of them. A piece of information will be introduced in our world that will carry into the film, and she’s the bridge between the two.
I don’t know if you can gleam from the trailer, [but] there are robots in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” I don’t know if that’s obvious.
Robots you say? I never noticed. Not even when they were fighting an army of robots. Or that robot named Ultron, or that other robot named Vision.
I do however, hope that at one of those robots get to travel through time.
16:26
as long as it does not travel through a cloud of toad spit.
and get stuck to the underside of the bifrost
16:56
ok.
so, i went back on netflix and started watching Arrow again from S1.
and now I wanna know, now that he's in Hong Kong, why does he end up back on Lian Yu long enough to grow a beard before he gets rescued?
also: original sara nowhere near as hot as Caity Lotz.
@MichaelEdenfield that's a story for season 5
unless barry gets all timeloopy again and screws things up

3 hours later…
20:17
^--- AKA Jessica Jones.
and yes that's David Tennant.
20:44
looks like Purple Man to me, not 'David Tennant'.
looks like some dude in a coat to me.
@Keen I'd get a new monitor, he's clearly caucasian
"No Lisa, this is Purple Man, not a purple man!"
