@amWhy I wonder why I was kicked from CRUDE. (According to the message I got it was just for a short period of time, so it's not a big deal, I was just curious.)
To be perfectly honest, I have no experience with this functionality in chat.

@MartinSleziak I kick muted (first time I've ever done it) Robert Frost from CRUDE. Or So I thought? His icon left the room for one minute, so I thought it worked. If I inadvertently kicked you out, and not RF, then that was my gross error, which I wouldn't have realized until you just posting.

No problem!
I just saw some notification saying that I was kicked and i cannot talk there for 1 minute. That made me a bit curious.

@MartinSleziak I am so sorry if it impacted you! The intended target was RF. I feel so foolish now!

As I said, it's certainly not a problem.
And as I had nothing to post in that time period, there was no real impact on me. I've asked partly out of curiosity and partly to know whether I've done something wrong without even noticing it.

@MartinSleziak This was the first time I ever "kick-muted" anyone. I'll be sure to be far more careful if I plan to do it again.

Probably I should learn a bit about the tools room owners have for moderating purposes a bit.
I do not think I have ever used something which on RO can do other then moving messages and pinning messages. And in addition to that I have edited feeds in some rooms. Occasionally I have looked at deleted messages. (With the exception of messages deleted by mods the history is still visible to room owners after the deletion.)
I'd guess that about all of the tool available to room owners that I've tried.

@MartinSleziak I've used all of those tools except "kick-mute" just used today. I must have clicked on your icon instead of RF's icon; as you can see in CRUDE, I had to remove four of his messages. I will just need to pay very close attention to the icon I'm expanding for "kick-muting."

Sorry @amWhy. That was unintentional.

Actually I misclicked. Instead of clicking "ignore this user (everywhere)" I clicked "kick-mute this user". Sorry again @amWhy.

user131753
Since you were not pingable in that room I mentioned it here. I hope @MartinSleziak wouldn't mind.

@user170039 I certainly don't mind but it seems to me that amWhy is pingable in that room.

user131753
@MartinSleziak It is not working for me.

Maybe during the period when the user was kick-muted they are not offered in autocomplete? Or perhaps it was due to ignore option?

@MartinSleziak Now I understand. It was due to the ignore option. Sorry for the confusion.

After I clicked on your username and then on ignore, your username is not offered to me in autocomplete.
Now I clicked on "don't ignore", and again I get your username in autocomplete.
So it's the most likely explanation.

user131753
Yep it is. Thanks.

BTW I vaguely remember that for userA it is possible to find out somewhere whether userB ignored them in chat, but I do not really remember how.

@MartinSleziak: I am currently looking for the following book chapter,

user131753
Would you mind to check whether it is available in your university library?

user131753
I checked the library of my university but it is not there.

@user170039 According to the library catalog, we do not have the book. So basically the only option would be ILL - which I assume is exactly the same for you.
