@user170039 I post comments in CRUDE now, they disappear!
@user334732 Just checking whether you have noticed that some messages were moved here: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/82806/2018/12/11

@MartinSleziak yes it became apparent they were being repeatedly deleted once I was banned from CRUDE. I assume crude is for some users to discuss closure and reopening, provided they propose to close and reopen the questions some particular crude admin wants closing and reopening.
@AndrésE.Caicedo : you might have some luck with stack edit .io where you can post the raw mathjax from the question. I didn't ever try printing but there would be a chance of good results.

@XanderHenderson I probably mixed it up with duplicates of deleted questions. When looking at SEDE queries posted in this room, I see two queries mentioned there: https://data.stackexchange.com/math/query/209965/duplicates-of-deleted-questions and https://data.stackexchange.com/math/query/237864/duplicates-of-deleted-posts-wit‌h-score-and-number-of-answers
I made a rather simple query to find questions where the duplicate target is closed, too: data.stackexchange.com/math/query/945116/… It would be useful to make similar query where the duplicate target is closed for reason other than duplicate. This might be more complicated, I hope to get back to that when I have a bit more time.
Since I have mentioned the queries for post where the duplicate target is deleted, somebody claimed recently on meta that this can no longer happen.
I know that dupe targets can't be deleted, but I'm not sure whether there's any tool support (probably unofficial, but some of the bigger stacks do have a moderate amount of unofficial tool support) to identify questions with significant traffic from other sites. Such tool support would be useful for implementation of the proposed policy. Do you know of any? (PS I see @MartinSleziak mentioned a Wikipedia tool for their outgoing links in the chat transcript you reference). — Peter Taylor Dec 5 at 17:31

Q: Auto-flag duplicates of deleted questions for reopening / deletion

Ilmari KaronenUpdate: This has been implemented according to the slightly more aggressive manner proposed in this answer below. OK, so this is the second time I've come across a perfectly valid bug report here on meta.SO that was closed as a duplicate, and the question it was closed as a duplicate of then d...

A: Auto-flag duplicates of deleted questions for reopening / deletion

Laura Update: this is now live since the end of January 2015 I agree 100% with the problem you've identified here: it's a terrible experience to land on a duplicate question, click a link to the "canonical" post and find out it's been deleted. I'd actually like to propose a slightly more aggressi...

@Lord_Farin Thanks! I was thinking about using second select and "difference" - for some reason I thought that this would be rather slow.
