@AJ I finally tried to tackle your moon landings question, even if I'm a little late to the party (not that the existing answers wouldn't deserve their votes either, they're already pretty good).
> I'm getting a fleet of Lexus convertibles, every color. > I told you, Lexus don't make a convertible. > I'll bet you a Lexus they do. > Okay. You're on, but it won't be a convertible. I guarantee you.
> What is the problem with Michael Jackson? > What do you mean? > What is the problem with Michael Jackson? What is the problem with Michael Jackson? You understand my question?
In Overwatch and Mortal Kombat X, there are two characters, one is Mcree, and the other is Erron Black. Both are themed and designed to be your stereotypical cowboy.
However, I have been looking for what may be a trope but I am not sure where it may have originated, or even if it exists. Basica...
@sanpaco +1 on your answer to my The Skeleton Key question! I completely forgot that Caroline did the counter spell and that Ben started speaking some after that! Great job! :)
Wow! I'm getting awesome answers to my questions lately :)
@AJ HAHAHAHA!!!! OMG!!!
Elvis Bob has left the building!!! :P

@sanpaco Another good point regarding The Devil's Advocate. I remember that scene from the movie, but didn't tie (no pun intended) the two together with the same spell from The Skeleton Key. Cool!
<awaits Napoleon to secretly perform beef tongue spell on me> :P
@AnkitSharma my answer to that Spaceballs question is my second highest voted answer ever now. It always amazes me which questions and answers end up getting a lot of exposure like that. I have lots of other answers that I spent more time and effort on that only have 2 or 3 votes lol :)
@sanpaco Exactly! I feel your pain! I have several other questions and answers that I spend so much time on, but the ones that I "throw together" end up getting the most attention ;)
I think that's what happened with my John Milton question a couple weeks ago too. Only 27 votes, but I've never had a question get more than 20. I always have a harder time thinking of good questions to ask too...
I wanted to ask v for vendetta but can't get any question from it and then settled with spaceballs , had two question but one got rejected on chat only
Funny thing is Elephant Man is one of my favorite movies, but I never knew that Mel Brooks was involved in suggesting Lynch direct it and hangs head in shame I never realized John Hurt was the actor that played Merrick lol.
Current Challenge Standings: 1. The Elephant Man +80 2. Alien +62 3. Spaceballs +44 4. Oxford Murders +8 5. (Tie) Only Lovers Left Alive both at +6 6. The Skeleton Key +5 7. V for Vendetta +4 8. Only Lovers Left Alive +3. I think that those are all of them...unless I missed one.
> In Half Blood Prince, Draco disarmed Dumbledore, so the Elder Wand started answering him. In the end of The Deathly Hallows, Harry says he disarmed Draco at Malfoy Mansion, but actually he didn't. He snatched the wands from Draco. In the same movie, Harmione disarmed Draco in The Invisible Room. That means this Elder wand should answer her, but it was shown that it was answering Harry.
So why the Elder Wand was answering Harry, but not Harmione?
Throughout the movie, Hans Landa was always a step ahead of the motifs and plans against the Basterds. Even in "Operation Kino" after he so intelligently deduced the German movie star was the double agent against the "Third Reich" he killed her during the movie premiere of "Nation's Pride". He c...
This movie came out a while ago. It had three movies in it that I can remember. One of them was about someone who cooked in a restaurant. He cut his finger and got blood in the food and it was served to people. Everyone who ate it liked the food and he began doing it more often. He ends up sleepi...
@AJ Not serial as you might think it. It's just that I get downvotes, perhaps one a day on what I think are pretty good answers. Even when there are multiple answers to a question saying pretty much the same thing only mine receives a downvote. It could be confirmation bias but I have my suspicions.
Why?...she says why...she disapproves of him as a person.
Hemingway?! He was an abusive alcoholic misogynist who squandered half his life hanging around Picasso trying to nail his leftovers.
As for racism, the teacher doesn't actually accuse her of that; it's more about the fact that, in hi...
It could be my imagination and the odd one I can understand...perhaps answering a "marginal" question but sometimes...you wonder. In the scheme of things a couple of points loss isn't enough to worry me I'm doing fine in the rep stakes...15k is not far away.
one scene in [Unbroken][1], Prisoners should carry coal, but they stop &

In the 2010 film Predators, the Yakuza character Hanzo (played by Louis Ozawa Changchien) and Edwin (played by Topher Grace) are having a conversation about how Hanzo can speak English and why he does not speak English more often.
Hanzo retorts that he would talk too much and then shows his hand...
I saw Wikipedia article on this movie but there is no mention of true story anywhere.
At The End of the movie, closing title cards appears like this;
Why closing title cards appears in The other Woman ?
It was possibly a joke about Hanzo's too much talking.
When Edwin notices Hanzo can speak English he asks him why he doesn't talk more. He then shows his hand that is missing 2 fingers.
In the Yakuza when a member talks against a gang leader or speaks out of turn, a finger joint is cut off.

@MovieReel What in the hell makes you think that this movie is a true story? I mean...a husband cheating on his wife with younger and hotter women happens all of the time, it doesn't mean that this movie is a true story. Good Lord.
I'm going to the beach and maybe to a super bowl party. I will just need to fuel up on valium and vodka to handle watching Tom Brady win another effing super bowl :P
It's highly illegal to catch a fish and let it die and just not use it. Actually, I don't know why that would happen. There is catch and release fishing, but you have to release the fish while it's still alive.
Dammit! I thought that The Machinist question that I answered qualified for the answering old questions challenge! I thought that the question said November. I'm such an idiot! Argh! @NapoleonWilson I petition to change the monthly challenge of answering old questions to questions that are only a month or older ;)
What actually happened in this scene?
Did or didn't Bateman really fatally injure the prostitute on the bed?
Did or didn't Bateman really kill the 2nd prostitute with chainsaw?
If NO, what actually happened?
Did the 2nd prostitute really see those dead bodies o...

I was a kid and I'm low on clues. Judging by my age, I would say it was around '88 to '92 that I watched it. I just remember a scary man in a black costume with hoses or cables that attached him to a large dark room. His henchmen would gather captives and bring them to him and n...
In a well edited movie, there are no scenes that don't either move the story ahead or explain something not otherwise known about the protagonist or his/her story.
In John Wick (2014), there is a specific scene I would like a better explanation for, as to why it was left in the movie.
What does...
@steelersquirrel That's not actually my job. I reveal the winners at the end of the challenge. ;-P
@steelersquirrel Awesome. I haven't read it yet, but I'm really pleased that the bounty encourages good answers and a few more votes on the question. I really like the question and it's interesting, I think it got glanced over a little and downvoted quite bit for probably sounding too much like homework, which I know can sometimes tick people off a little. That's why I started the bounty and I'm glad it worked.
@steelersquirrel Gheez, it already has a bounty anyway. ;-) You might not even have gotten a second one even if you would have won the challenge.
@steelersquirrel It's still debatable, though, I think.
I seem to remember an episode in which Starburns returned to Community (after allegedly being killed in season 3) - complaining about how he doesn't like to be named starburns, and someone retorting something like "If you didn't want to be called starburns, maybe you shouldn't have shaved your si...
@BalarkaSen I agree. I never got why people complain so much about the Batvoice, I thought it appropriate and properly done.
@steelersquirrel Well, we have to wait with Valentines Day for the actual day, I think. So why might have to do the Resident Evil thing beforehand.
But maybe we'll do Keanu instead of the first Oscar challenge. I'll have to wait and see how the votes go.
@AnkitSharma Hmm, last time they took quite some time to activate it. I thought they generally wait a few days/weeks or at least till a few ads are 6+.
But whatever, I'm not complaining. Better than waiting months for the ads to get activated.
