Q: Animated movie about biplanes, airships and floating islands(japanese)

Oleksandr FirsovHelp! For a few days now I've been bugged by this old (1990s or early 2000s) japanese animated movie, it was 3D rather than hand-drawn, if I recall correctly. Now, the setting I remember vaugely - there were dogfights on biplanes, giant airships, floating islands and no ground - sky and coulds e...

@steelerfan we didn't flagged each other yet, so it's not mos
@MAFIA36790 so what'
@MAFIA36790 so what's ur solution ?
@DrRDizzle some casualties can be acceptable
@steelerfan agreed
@steelerfan In mos more then 100 times, here maybe 2-3 times

user116211
@AnkitSharma As for punishment, life sentence will suffice; but what about the expenses that you would put on them? Yeh, that's a question.

@MAFIA36790 life sentence is complete waste
waste of money, effort and everything

user116211
I know.

user116211
But so is hanging.

no it's better

user116211
2:32 PM
hmm.

My pool is closed today :'(

user116211
@steelerfan Go to river if there is any at your proximity.

less money wasted in hanging then feeding some bastards
@steelerfan ohhh

user116211
Okay, @ankit, forget about it; let's start with a clean slate.

@MAFIA36790 Oh my. An Oregon river in October. Not a good idea ;)

2:40 PM
@AnkitSharma I disagree.
Even there is even a chance that an innocent person might be wrongly killed, then clearly the death penalty is a bad idea.

Innocent dies both way, lets just clean society and ignore few casualties
@MAFIA36790 k

@AnkitSharma That's a horrible position to take. Imagine if someone you knew, or you yourself, were put to death by the state for a crime you didn't commit.
It's the greatest injustice that their can possible be.

user116211
@AnkitSharma Shall I have to say the same to stop Dizzle?

@steelerfan Awww, I'm sorry.

Even if u give life imprisonment to innocent, he is already destroyed

2:45 PM
@DrRDizzle Agreed. I would rather see a guilty person go free than an innocent person wrongly imprisoned.

@MAFIA36790 He is unstoppable

@AnkitSharma But they have a chance to appeal, to be found innocent, to live again. You can't do that if you've killed them.

@ChristianRau It's all good, babe. No worries :)

Only one of the punishments here is wholly irreversible.

@steelerfan But that guilty person will ruin more innocent lifes
@DrRDizzle damage by wrong imprisonment is worse.

2:46 PM
@AnkitSharma I'd rather be in prison than dead dude.

There's nothing worse than being falsely accused of something. It's a huge injustice. I believe that there should be retrials for all death penalty cases that are 20 years or older now that we have DNA testing and stuff.

@steelerfan I just think that the death penalty needs abolishing worldwide. It's too permanent a sentence for a system that can never be 100% sure of a verdict.

@DrRDizzle I better be dead then having a fucked up life

@AnkitSharma Yeah, but, they will eventually be caught. I just get really upset when an innocent life is ruined because of sloppiness and close-minded police/district attorney work.

2:48 PM
@AnkitSharma You can choose to commit suicide if it comes to that. You can't choose to be not dead.
@steelerfan Have you seen Making a Murderer?

@DrRDizzle Yeah. It's a hard issue. I'm torn on it.
@DrRDizzle No. I have seen The Life of David Gale, which is really good and makes a good point regarding putting innocent people to death.

user116211
That's a good question.

user116211
I never thought anyone would ask this.

user116211
Trump is fake looking again.

It amazes me how some detectives just refuse to admit that they were wrong. They focus on a suspect and just have blinders on. I watch a lot of Investigation Discovery ;)

2:51 PM
@steelerfan You should watch Making a Murderer if you can, it's on Netflix. It's all about a couple of guys jailed for a murder that they might not have committed, and the way that the police force charging them tampered with evidence, harassed suspects etc. in order to ensure a conviction. I haven't actually finished it, because it makes me livid.

user116211
@steelerfan I love that channel!!

@steelerfan And it has Kate Winslet, no? ;-)

@steelerfan I have seen Sarbjit

@DrRDizzle Oh, I watch stuff like that on I.D. all of the time. It makes me so angry to watch police officers coerce a confession out of an innocent person. The one that sticks out to me the most is the case of the 3 boys that were convicted of killing a kid. Johnny Depp actually stepped in on their behalf. They were finally released.
@ChristianRau Yes! I was actually thinking of asking a question about that movie, but it has been so long since I have seen it that I really couldn't come up with a question about it :(
@MAFIA36790 I know, right? It's so good! I get sucked into those shows so easily

@steelerfan In this, a kid (I think he was 15-16?) with an IQ of just 70 is coerced into confessing to a murder/rape by a couple of police officers who just keep baiting him into saying things that he clearly knows nothing about. It's an awful video to watch.

2:57 PM
@DrRDizzle Yeah, that kind of shit pisses me off. I don't even know how cases like that even make it to court, let alone get a conviction. It's really sad seeing cases that are 20+ years old and the evidence that some of these people were convicted on. We now have the technology to re-test evidence. I bet that if these cases were re-tried with new testing and a new jury they would be acquitted. Jurors just didn't know about "reasonable doubt" like they do now.
Hmmmm...I don't mind my stuff getting edited and I agree with the edit regarding the grammar, but I don't see any spelling mistakes.

@steelerfan Huh? Where?
I also like that film where Morgan Freeman interrogates Gene Hackman about a murdered girl in Puerto Rico.

Q: Did Caledon and Rose ever have sex?

steelerfanThe 1997 film, Titanic portrays Rose DeWitt Bukatter and her fiance, Caledon Hockley aboard the R.M.S Titanic and the love triangle involving them and Jack Dawson. The movie is set in 1912. I was under the assumption that society was far more strict on an engaged couple than now. I always thou...

@ChristianRau The editor said that they fixed spelling. I just didn't see it.

@steelerfan Hmm, looks like he just fixed some messed up pronouns.

@ChristianRau Yeah, and I totally agree with that edit. He just commented that there were spelling issues and I didn't see any is all.'

@steelerfan Well, that was probably just a general statement. It's not always easy for people to distinguish between spelling and grammar.

3:05 PM
@steelerfan we also have I.D. here but it comes in hindi dubbed :'( and I don't like dubbed stuff

@ChristianRau Ahhh...gotcha. No big deal :)

Under Suspicion.

@steelerfan wow 10 upvote without HNQ O.o

Q: Why does Batman brand criminals?

Ocean KnightIn Batman V Superman it's shown that Batman brands criminals with a 'bat brand'. This brand on someone means they will definitely be killed. Why does he choose this instead of killing them himself or not doing it at all?

@AnkitSharma I know, right? I even put "sex" in the title ;)
@ChristianRau I think that I have seen that, but I don't remember all of it. Was Gene Hackman married to a younger woman?

3:10 PM
@steelerfan I don't really know either.
All I know is that Morgan Freeman interrogates him the whole time and ultimately makes him confess and I think he was innocent.

@MovieReel seems duplicate to me

@ChristianRau Have you seen The life of David Gale?

@steelerfan No.
I saw True Crime with Clint Eastwood, which was nice.

@ChristianRau Oh, it's really good. It sort of depends on where you stand on the death penalty if you agree with it or not, but, it's a great movie.
@ChristianRau That has Gene Hackman also, doesn't it?

@steelerfan I don't think so. You might be mixing it up with Absolute Power, where Hackman is the president and murders some girl.
True Crime has Eastwood as reporter trying to prove a man in the death row innocent.

3:20 PM
@ChristianRau Oh, right. I had those two confused. I have not seen True Crime.

@AnkitSharma Hard to say. It's a bit of a duplicate of two different questions. But doesn't seem to be an exact duplicate of either of them. I don't really know. I've thrown it out and wait what happens now.

Absolute Power was still good, though.

@steelerfan Yeah. I actually read the source novel of that.

Another good movie is the one with Sean Connery and Laurence Fishbourne. I forgot the name of it.
@ChristianRau Yeah. I remember the opening scene for that one ;)

@steelerfan Ah, yeah, nice Southern Atmosphere. And it has Ed Harris, too, like Absolute Power does. Hollywood is a small world. ;-)
Just Cause.

3:22 PM
@ChristianRau Yeah. Ed Harris plays such a good part in that movie. He plays such a good psychopath.

'nneed.

I love Ed Harris. He is awesome.
@ChristianRau OMG. I forgot to tell you. I think that I have found a new favorite coffee creamer. I know it's shocking, but, hazelnut might not be my favorite coffee creamer anymore!

WUUUUT?!!!

I know, right?

So what is it? Do tell, do tell!

3:29 PM

And what miserable situation even prompted you to try something else in the first place?

It was not having any coffee creamer at all available in my hotel room and I asked my new friends if they had any. They brought over this italian sweet creme. OMG. Soooooo good! I had some hazelnut this morning in my coffee and I have to say that this italian creme might be better. I can't believe it. I'm shocked. I'm stunned.

Hehe. But...but...the kitty will still be called Hazel, right? :'( Remember that it wasn't just because of your love of hazelnut.

@ChristianRau Of course the kitty will still be called Hazel! Yes, I remember that it wasn't just because of my love of hazelnut. It's because of my love for you and your awesome compliments ;-*

@steelerfan No, it's because of your hazel eyes!

3:43 PM
@ChristianRau I know. You gave me a compliment on my hazel eyes. That's what I was talking about, silly!

Oh, okay. Hehe. ;-*

3:57 PM
Well, time to go spend the whole day in the hospital :'(

@steelerfan Awww, cheer up, it'll be over sooner than later and you get to spend time with your dad.

@ChristianRau Awww. Thanks, babe. You always make me feel better ;-*
Anyways, I will speak to you later :)

Sure, see ya. ;-*

4:43 PM
@ChristianRau agreed
