01:00 - 22:0022:00 - 00:00

10:00 PM
Why would anyone want that? ;-)

@NapoleonWilson cause sometimes there's drama, and it's fun to be able to read through it
especially on meta

Wow. Can no movie not have a romance aspect? Seriously, The Lorax? How do you include a romance subplot into The Lorax of all things?

Depends on your definition of "romance aspect", though.
Dunkirk?

@Mithrandir War didn't have romance
Autocorrect first autocorrected "romance" to "Rio dance"
Neither did Snowpiercer which I just rewatched

10:11 PM
@Mithrandir a kid who has a crush on the girl and to win her heart plants to show her a real tree

Damn, what a movie

True.
Did it have Danny DeVito speaking Hebrew?

@NapoleonWilson true damn what a movie or true it didn't have romance?

@M.A.R. Both, I guess.

I mean, I don't watch a ton of movies, so I have a pretty small data collection :p

10:13 PM
I liked everything about the ending, except the fact that they got this close to being the bad guys
Blowing up a train full of people?
You can hardly find excuses for that.
@Mith hey @Mith

@Mithrandir Love is what makes the world go round. Sorry to break it to you ;)

> China is here, Mr Burton. The Chang Sing, the Wing Kong. They've been fighting for centuries.
> What does that mean? "China is here"? I don't know what that means. All I know is, this Lo Pan character comes out of thin air in the middle of an alley, while his buddies fly around, cuttin' everybody to shreds, and he stands there, waiting for me to drive my truck straight through him, with light comin' out of his mouth!

@steelersquirrel But... The Lorax? That's just...

@Memor-X my favorite is the ents

10:18 PM
@steelersquirrel no, it's gravity

@DForck42 everyone does

Although it could be both
Not mutually exclusive

@Mithrandir Well...I don't know. I have never seen it.

@steelersquirrel I thought gravity made the world spin?

@steelersquirrel Neither have I, just the songs. But I've read it.

10:19 PM
@M.A.R. gravity = love

@DForck42 I don't know. I wasn't the one who said gravity made it go round ;)

@Memor-X According to Interstellar maybe. ;-)

@Memor-X Hehehe! There ya go!

@DForck42 Um, it does both, I think. ;-)

lol

10:21 PM
The only thing about "Love" in Interstellar is that I love turning the channel when it's on ;)

@DForck42 jinx
@Memor-X I object. That. Is circular logic.
.
..

@M.A.R. proof: when you love something you want to be closer to it. thew planets gravity draws all things closer. thus gravity is our love for the world drawing us to it
NASA obviously hates the world because they build those rockets to overpower gravity

Oh, wow! Getting deep! ;)

> And anybody that showed up was gonna join Lem Lee in the hell of being cut to pieces.
> Hell of being what?
> The Chinese have a lotta hells.
> And what the hell is Gracie Law doing here?

@Memor-X what if I love something only from afar
I love a peaceful lake scene
But I don't wanna drown in the water

10:26 PM
@NapoleonWilson So...You're watching Big trouble in little china?

> So listen to me when I say that love isn't something we invented. It's observable, powerful. It has to mean something...Maybe it's some evidence, some, artifact of a higher dimension that we can't consciously perceive...Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space.

You're just throwing out quotes and disappearing?

@steelersquirrel Yes, obviously.

Excuuuuuuuse me! obviously

@steelersquirrel Muahahaha! No problem, apology accepted. ;-P

10:30 PM
Argh!

> Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety nine percent perspiration. Thomas Alva Edison

@M.A.R. then you're mooning in which case full your pants up

@NapoleonWilson I didn't know that I was apologizing, but...okay ;)

@steelersquirrel You wanted me to excuse you, no?

@NapoleonWilson I don't know...I was just guessing the movie you were quoting! Stop making it so complicated! ;)

@steelersquirrel Awww, I'm just playing! :'(

Yes...I know! ;)

Is this whole thing a game, with me being only a side character?
Rude awakening
Flags awakening for mod attention

Hehehe!
@M.A.R. What's the movie for the day?

10:36 PM
Snowpiercer, again.

Big Trouble in Little China, obviously.

Please don't say Phineas and Ferb ;)

@M.A.R. Did you just watch it or something?

Phonetics and Verb

10:40 PM
@steelersquirrel Watched it for the third time. Have you seen it?
Oh wow, Dunkirk got eight nominations
Hopefully Nolan will get the Oscar he so truly deserves

Meh, he'd deserved it for other films already maybe.
The DiCaprio effect.

Meh
@M.A.R. No. I haven't seen it.

Wether you like him or not, and whether you're a fan or not, he's changed Hollywood forever
Just can't wait till he's eighty to get an honorary Oscar

I'm uncertain about the scope of this question. could you provide some more information about the context of how these terms have been used to describe films? — DForck42 52 mins ago

That's quite a bit of an odd question indeed.

10:50 PM
Wow! This is the perfect example of how tone makes the hugest difference! Kudos to you @DForck42 :)

@steelersquirrel let's say it's a smart blockbuster that explains its stuff and blows your mind without confusing it. Has all the good things of, say, Logan, and lacks what you don't like about Nolan movies. Cons: probably too dark and brutal for some people's taste
Enough said that it makes me want to watch the director's other works
Like so bad

Still...out of the 2 comments, Force's comment says the same thing, but in a "Nice" way that encourages OP rather than deters them, imo.

Truesns.

@M.A.R. Don't worry. I more rip on Nolan to annoy Ankit and Napoleon ;)

But well, one of the users likes the site and its questions, the other not so much. Whatcha gonna do. ;-)

10:53 PM
True dat!

"OP, you suck balloons. Go learn how to type by reading tour. . . . And welcome to our site!"

Hehehe!
Argh! I hate it when my tablet autocorrects and I don't see it until it's too late to edit!

You can say that again
Say it again.
Do it.
I demand it!
OK, I gotta head to sleep.
Have a nice game

Good night :)

I will, my next move: Booglechuckle Gubbablunt!

11:01 PM
Looks like Napoleon picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue ;)

Wrong answer, you lost!

I'm not playing with you anymore :P

As expected. Sore loser, eh?

Hehehe! I'm still trying to figure out what I lost... ;)
As expected? Pfft!

@steelersquirrel Me too.

11:07 PM
Hey, babe! This is your game, I'm just playing along ;)

Hihihi!

Play! Play! Play!

> No bounce, no play!

Woot!
Why is there so much crap on tv during the day?
OMFG! Interstellar is on FX!

> They have survived the burning blade, tamed the savage heart. I will marry both women.

11:10 PM
Nooooooo!

@steelersquirrel Woot! \o/

I would rather watch Get Hard
I have only seen that once.
Oh! Or GI Jane.

So, what's the problem with Kevin Hart?

Nothing. I love Kevin Hart.
I remember that movie being super hilarious!
He reminds me of a young Eddie Murphy!

11:15 PM
You're totally confusing me today ;)
<confused squirrel>

Colour me surprised. ;-P
> You can see things no one else can see, do things no one else can do.
> Real things?
> As real as Lo Pan.
> What more can a guy ask for?
> The six-demon bag!
> Terrific. A six-demon bag. Sensational. What's in it, Egg?
> Wind! Fire! All that kind of thing.
> Here's to the army and navy and the battles they have won. Here's to America's colours, the colours that never run.
> May the wings of liberty never lose a feather.

@NapoleonWilson Why do you like picking at me when I'm sick? ;)

@steelersquirrel Awww, meesa no picking! :'(
So...watcha gonna do for defense when you're healthy again? ;-P

I don't know. Probably just concede like usual ;)

Yeah, you're quite the type for conceding indeed...

11:27 PM
Awwwwww! You don't know how many times that I totally concede to you ;)

Awwwww!

I make a few lines of argument then I usually just give up.

I'll keep that in mind. ;-)

OMG! Yeah...okay.

Awww, I'm still playing, don't worry. ;-)

11:31 PM
I'm not worried ;)

Goodsies!

I'm going to going watch the Sopranos, though!
So...I'm outta here. Have a good night. Don't stay up too late!

@steelersquirrel Oh, okay.
I might have called you in maybe an hour or so.

I don't know if I will be awake. You can try if you want to, though.

I could now, too.

11:35 PM
It's super hard for me to talk. I cough like every 2 seconds :'(
It tends to annoy the other person :'(

Awww, neversies!
