@PaulWhite The variable was because the amount of times I see people using a comma with space, or longer separators, then wondering why STUFF doesn't work. So it uses LEN(@sep) to make sure the length is correct
A new answer simply isn't going to get enough votes to get anywhere near the top in a post like that
