@Johnakahot2use Fair enough, I violated The Heap's second most important rule. So, to explain, my point is Ctrl+Click presumes a PC, unless it's now possible to Ctrl+Click on a mobile device too. (I mean, is it? Because I genuinely don't know.) Assuming it's not, by suggesting a Ctrl+Click you, therefore, inadvertently showed prejudice towards someone (Tom) who might actually be reviewing the queue on a mobile device. There, the joke has been EAGLed.

@Johnakahot2use They won't, as far as I've observed. So you can downvote someone's post to the point where the poster reaches the initial 1 rep, when further downvoting no longer affects the rep, and then someone goes by, takes pity on the poor poster (or whatever their reasoning may be), and voila, the poster gets +10.

I remember I used to be very annoyed by that, so sometimes I would deliberately delay my downvoting in order to at least somehow offset the undeserved, in my view, points by downvoting after the mercy upvote. It's a stupid stance to take, but that's what valuing Internet points used to do to me.

I'm not annoyed by anything. Just wondering. Some of the questions currently being asked on DBA.SE have (IMO) a very, very, very low (aka abysmal) quality and I'm having a hard time reasoning with myself how to handle them so at to not stir up the "not-very-welcoming" watchdogs.
