how big of a performance increase can result from separating the data and log files?
MS docs mentions it will increase performance... just wondering what factors play into HOW MUCH of an increase it will be... gb size? frequency of transactions and how big those transactions are, etc im sure all play a role
Excluding various non-obvious factors (like e.g. triggers), the only possible reason I can see is that foo in (select foo2 from #tmp) simply never returns true.
