What is the name of join which is full join minus the inner join. I.e uncommon rows in both tables?
@MYGz I don't think there's a specific name
"Symmetric difference" is similar but only when the two tables are union compatible.
Antijoin perhaps.
Although usually when someone says "antijoin" they mean a LEFT join minus the inner join.

Thx

@Philᵀᴹ Ah, the joys of bringing intelligence to the business.

@ypercubeᵀᴹ mainstream RDBMS only really implement anti-join via NOT EXISTS
10:40
@gbn you confirming my theory. You say "antijoin" and you mean left join minus inner join. MYGz was asking what's the name for "full join minus inner join" and I wasn't sure but we might call it antijoin, too.
@AndriyM T-SQL, U-SQL. My wild guess is that the next is called V-SQL ;)

No the progression is obviously:
T-SQL, U-SQL, We-All-SQL

@PaulWhite haha. This reminds me of youtube.com/watch?v=8CAscBCdaQg
@ypercubeᵀᴹ @MYGz "Exclusive full join"? (as opposed to the normal "inclusive" full join, which includes the inner join)

Please pardon my manners. Good afternoon gentlemen.
....and ladies.

hmm. Now I'm thinking about it again.
I started with assumption that "full join" is "equi-join". Equi-join minus the inner join seems like "left join .. is null". No match on the right means no row multiplication so full/equi/anti is mute. Acts like a "semi-join..is null"
pull that assumption card out, and the whole house collapses though...
12:39
????? is not always ?????

"If the British government was in charge of the cave rescue they'd be adding more boys" 😂
Are they all rescued now?

Quick one:
int	4
uniqueidentifier	16
uniqueidentifier	16
char	4000
char	4000
char	9
datetime2	8
If I create a table in SQL Server 2014 with the above data types then they add up to 8053 bytes which is below the 8060 byte limit for a SQL Server table.
If I increase the char(9) data type to char(10) then I get the error message: Creating or altering table 'Generated_Data_GUID2' failed because the minimum row size would be 8061, including 7 bytes of internal overhead. This exceeds the maximum allowable table row size of 8060 bytes.
Why does that occur?
Got it. Thank you.
> including 7 bytes of internal overhead

😅
Hello.
I am using MSSQL and have encryption applied on certain Columns. I applied it late in the dev process. Is it possible to insert into a column without using SQLParameter? Changing the logic now and the queries done will require much time and resources.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/security/encryption/develop-using-always-encrypted-with-net-framework-data-provider?view=sql-server-2017#inserting-data-example

Any guidance is appreciated. The above link is what needs to be done to properly read from the and write from and to the DB

Wow banned for 30 mins for inappropriate content. Automatic or a report?
@gbn banned from the pubs
@gbn I'm guessing it's for the message above that's now deleted. If that is so, the message was deleted by an entity called Feeds – I think it means it was auto-deleted based on flags.
So I'm wondering, was the ban based solely on the flagging too?
14:33
Successful spam or offensive chat flags always result in a 30 minute chat ban.
14:55
@gbn one of your messages was flagged.
(and I assume that some 10K user(s) accepted the flag).
I voted as invalid. I thought of moving the message to Trash but wasn't fast enough. It was gone a few seconds later.
hey guys
@ElieSaad is a friend of mine, if you have any knowledge, it would be great and stressing "if you have" ;) Cheers
@AndyK No idea really. Welcome @ElieSaad.
It would probably be a good idea to post a question at our site.
Hello! Thank you for looking into it :)
@ypercubeᵀᴹ I still 'love' that users who have no idea about the acceptable level of non-niceness in a room come and jump on stuff
15:10
@ElieSaad welcome.
@ypercubeᵀᴹ what site would you like me to post to?
the stack exchange, the normal one?
15:27
cya
@ElieSaad ping me on DO if you need help
16:21
@ypercubeᵀᴹ but those can come from any room right?
@TomV Correct - any room on all of chat.stackexchange.com.
16:42
@TomV Yes, they don't have to show up here. Any 10K user can click on the blue number and decide (valid / not valid/ not sure)
It might be anyone on the whole chat network
Short story: Please flag only for serious things.

There are usually many room owners around - and they would be happy to remove any message that looks offending, without flagging.
Of course, if something really offends you and you don't want to start a discussion, you are free to flag ...

I wonder who originally flagged though
