Although what you say makes me scratch my head. The way you present things these criminals have no way to justify any money they have. They might try to keep a low profile IRL, but I guess they at least need to pay their rents?
I'd be tempted to either make my criminal live with their parents or own some stock in a small business doubling as a money laundry, laundering just enough money to justify their low profile lifestyles... no idea if this makes any sense?
But I'm also not sure if the opposite, namely a person not able to explain where they get the money from they need to to pay their rents makes any sense either?

@gaazkam A significant proportion of the cyber criminals that get caught do so because they have lamborghinis or expensive houses without appearing to have any real source of income.
They may be self selecting to be caught :-)
